To cut a long article short they want sixteen times more RAM on Xbox 3 and PS4. Also the Crytek guy seems to have a bit of an axe to grind with the PS3's architecture.

Well a console is never going to be up to the standards of an absolute top of the line gaming pc, they should just tone back the insanely high level graphics so people can actually play their games.

Crytek Guy:
"The PC market just does not support that cost of development, but going multi-platform does. If making a game that is bigger, better, more stable, performs better across a wider range of hardware, provides a continued visual benchmark for PC gaming, and more fun with a huge single-player and multiplayer offering is considered selling out, that seems like a really odd application of the phrase. The decision to go multi-platform has allowed us to bring a better game to everyone, which has been our goal all along."

After watching the video comparing graphic quality settings, I could barely detect a difference. I've always been squarely in the camp of "as long as I can see what I'm shooting at, the graphics should take a back seat to the gameplay".

Well it's not like graphics aren't important at all, I can forgive a good game for having bad graphics but I do like things looking pretty.

The problem with Crysis 2 is that it's the sequel to a game that is still used as a benchmark for looking pretty despite being 4 years old. A sequel should look the same or better, not worse as is apparently the case (I haven't played Crysis 2 yet so I don't know myself), especially if it's the sequel to Crysis.
