Also yesterday I saw an episode of the BBC's secret agent drama Spooks (great show). It's also supposed to be realistic without James Bond Q gadgets, but one of the agents used, what looked for all the world like, a Doctor Who style sonic screwdriver to open a car door. It even had a little blue light on it.

I don't even watch CSI anymore because of stuff like this, I prefer Law and Order and Law and Order SVU, at least they do some things realistically (i.e, the rapist was wearing a condom, waiting for DNA tests). I have the same problem with Law and Order CI though.

I have found it impossible to watch shows like CSI and NCIS anymore, thanks to The Wire. I used to enjoy them, but now I can't help but laugh at all the stupid plot holes and incredibly unrealistic stuff. Well, I suppose the fact that it's so unreal is part of it's charm.
