I?m glad someone else finds the constant Cathuluing tiresome! Every time I see a Cathulu anything I just sigh and get a little bit bored?

...*looks around*...

...CTHULHU!! Ahem, yes...anyway. I personally think this thread is stupid, I've hardly ever seen this happen on here and it certainly isn't worth making a whole thread over. By doing so you know it's going to happen more so in a way, you've just shot yourself in the foot... metaphorically of course.

I have wanted to say this for so long, don't care how much hate I get, I just need to say it.

Cthulhu, shut up about him/ it. It is not funny, not cool and quite dull. Just putting his name on every thread as some people do.

Most people here constantly say 'Shut it with the memes' 'I don't get involved in pointless memes' and so on. So why do people all carry on with this even more annoying one? It isn't even funny, I've seen all the 4chan stuff, but I don't have an urge to constantly spurt his name across threads like squirty cream across a pie.

In all honesty, he is awesome. And the fact he is almost 80 years old and still going strong, fair play to him. Just look at him!

He is cool, yes. But he does not need you to constantly call his name out randomly on threads.

That felt good, emails of hate to the usually place
Must fight urge to randomly call out HIS name....

[HEADING=1]Cthulhu Ftaghn! [/HEADING]

Damn it! Oh well maybe next time...

I haven't seen anyone mention Cthulhu until just now... Till you did. So uh, I think you're ranting about something unnecessary. *Shrug*. Though uh.. he IS responsible for a pretty damn fun game. Little thing called "Call of Cthulhu."

Cthulwho?

... My deepest apologies. I could not resist.

In all honesty, though, I don't think Cthulhu's as ubiquitous as you think.

I'm lost. What's a meme and a 4chan? Am I just too old to pick up on those terms?
A meme is, although I'm not a hundred perent certain, something that is repeated all over a site or the entire internet as a sort of old joke. It's kind of like an inside joke, only over used.

4chan is a site where naughty people post naughty images and say naghty things about them. It's sort of like the liver of the internet, all the worst stuff that can't actually be gotten rid of ends up there eventually. The general consensus seems to be that it's best avoided.

And for your final question; This is the internet, you can never be to old; only to smart/mature/lucky to know things.

Edit: OT: <Insert random C'thulu refrence here>

I've never seen him before on the escapist; Although I must scorn you for using 'Random' terribly in two places.

Random does not mean what you think it means.

And Cthulhu is nothing compared too manbearpig.

People made Cthulhu references here?.

How come I never heard about this?.

Oh and OP, he is older than 80. Much, much, much older than 80.
/sigh
1928 was the first published story with cthulhu in
Don't you /sigh me you numpty!

When you said, and I quote:

And the fact he is almost 80 years old and still going strong, fair play to him
you gave the impression that you were quoting his age. The The Call of Cthulhu maybe 81 years old but Cthulhu isn't!.

Thanks for the definitions; these are terms I haven't crossed paths with. Or if I did, they were easily overlooked.

Did the OP just punch out Cthulhu?

Yes like most of the forum I spend too much time on TV tropes.

The only time I've seen Cthulhu mentioned (apart from here) is in a thread about the Dark Corners of the Earth game. Granted, there are annoying trends now and again, but it's best to ignore them until they go away.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'll go back to creating my thread about using the search bar to counteract Cthulhu's zombie apocalypse.

It's probably best that you remain ignorant about those topics. What has been seen cannot be un-seen...

Cthulhu is part of pop culture now, there's no taking that back... Thus, you can expect to hear the odd Lovecraft reference anywhere that you'd expect to hear popular culture references...

You should burn for mentioning that thing

OT: I have to agree with the others, that your blowing up over nothing (to even find one random thread involving him I had to do a freaking search) and if there is actually a part of this forum where he is randomly spouted (ignoring any RP's or discussion post's attributed to him) ignore that area or even better THE WHOLE FSCKING FORUM!

{Insert obligitary end statement here}
