Considering the time of year that is upon us, I'm getting very much in the Halloween spirit. What better way to celebrate the holiday than to scare myself into oblivion? Personally, I don't think I scare any more easily than anyone else, but I did start thinking of the ramifications of a 12 horror movie marathon.
My question is this: We all get scared from time to time, book to movie, haunted house to cemetery. When it happens, what do YOU do to calm yourself down?
With me I'm fairly cliche I suppose. The staple "have someone to talk to" as well as a good online article, proving my fear is irrational, with some scientific basis, tends to take the edge off. Some people grab a teddy bear, I just happen to grab a PDF on "why alien abduction theories are improbable." Then again ... sometimes the only cure is waiting it out till morning.
