I'm not looking forward to seeing endless Assassin's Creed trailers. XD At least it seems better then the Dishonored trailer but I'm sure by the time it stops playing before every video I'll have a disinterest in buying Assassin's Creed as well.

They should really consider showing trailers to games that are being released in November rather then games that are already out. Then maybe it would kill my friend's interest in owning Halo and Modern Warefare this year so I can enjoy a Thanksgiving without people talking about shooting games that aren't worth paying $60 for. XD haha!

Well, you have two choices really, Pub Club, or the gritting of teeth. I must admit, I have no special knowledge of the escapist's business dealings, but I assume that they are in no position to turn down advertisers, it's just bad business.

On the other hand, why PR departments decide to run ads after release is a mystery to me, but my guess is that as every game comes out in a fortnight, the ads are there so you do not instantly forget at the game in favour of the other interesting stuff coming out.

On that note i transcript every game advert for any game that i know is out with...

"See this awesome crap? If you like this awe-inspiring pre-rendered footage then youll love this game it supposedly represents! This game is available at your local retailer and Amazon now! Go buy it!"

Yeah, I agree. One of the ways that this very apparent is the use of music in the trailers. Music that can admittedly be quite good, but does not fit at all the feel or the theme of the game.
