I am somewhat cursed, whenever I open my phone to check the time in the afternoon, for some reason, it is almost always 1:37PM, (or 13:37) I think my phone is trying to tell me how 1337 I am!

EDIT: I also ALWAYS hit my head on a shelf whenever I sit on the armchair in the living room, I usually fall back into the chair but hit my head every damn time...
wow, this is what I came in to post, but for me I always seem to check the time right on 10:19 in the morning

...these numbers could mean something...
For me it's 11:11. There's a disproportionate amount of times where I look at my clock and it's that time, some weeks it happens almost every day.

I don't think I have any others, but any vehicle my family owns seems to be a black hole for geeky items. I've lost some Magic cards in there, some D&D dice, a Dalek plushy I was getting for a friend and my girlfriend has lost a couple geeky items in there as well. Weird thing is that on about half of the occasions I'll see them fall or get knocked over and just be completely unable to find them. I don't believe I've ever lost anything besides geeky stuff in them either

Pens. Whenever I purchase pens I get 3 at once because one is going to be gone at the end of the day. The other one will disappear shortly after and the third one will usually stay with me for a few weeks. Whenever I get daring enough to purchase a second pen one of them disappears.

Weddings. Every single wedding I've attended (since becoming an adult) I've managed to spill food/drink on my suit (either by my own clumsyness, someone elses or complete tables collapsing when I'm near.)

I also seem to always go for girls/women whose "type" is "anything but Eleu." But that might just be a personality flaw instead of a curse...

Given the fact that I suffer form those on occasion, if you'd be kind enough to hit me with the CliffNotes version, I'd be most appreciative!

Fair enough, and Im giving what i remember from my classes here and what they mean for your mindset, Im no psych myself, basically those dreams signify your mind wants some assurance, or... whats the word i'm looking for... predictability?

I wouldn't call it a "curse", per se, but there have been many times in my life where an incident or chain of incidents seemingly steamrolled right to the point where it would have ruined me (or something important to me), then by equally inexplicable luck, everything works out perfectly(ish), problem disappears. Many of these events have ended up having a positive impact, either through immediate material gain, or through teaching me important lessons.

Probably the only pseudo-occult belief I still have; it's certainly the only reason I still remain calm when catastrophic things seem to happen to me.

EDIT: I've also had the misfortune of having things literally disappear from existence when I lose them. I remember one time in particular when I dropped a little puzzle ball on the floor during orchestra class in middle school. It fell, broke into its puzzle-pieces, and then when I knelt down to pick them up, all of them were gone.

About 7 or 8 people have asked me to be their bridesmaid, all have split up. Apart from my mum's case who was about to book a wedding and my uncle died so we had to put the money towards that instead. I can't see the wedding happening tbh.

Never the bridesmaid, possibly never the bride either xP

having really really strange dreams almost every night

just last night a had one where the corpse's of 2 snakes seemed to get closer whenever i looked away (weeping angel style)
then i walk down the hill to my house (same dream) and turns out of fucking grizzley bear is sitting at the botttom of the hill

i somehow manage to get past it (i think my brain edited out that part) and as i stared walking down the road, a fucking POLAR BEAR is at the other end throwing a shit fit at its owner, i manage to get the drive way of my house when, of all thing, my PRINCIPLE shows up personally telling me that school has been cancelled because of the rampaging polar bear. and she was getting really emotional about it too, getting really angry and crying at the same time

Earbuds never last for me but in saying so I think everyone has that problem with theirs. They can never last more than 2 years at best (one even broke after 5 months!) cos of the stupid weak wire near the plug will break eventually.

Not a curse per se, but I have an odd habit of checking the clock at 11:02 PM. Which is weird in and of itself, but my birthday is 2 November (11/02 by America's date format).

A friend of mine has (or had) a similar thing where almost every time he checks the clock, there's an 11 in the time.

I've been using the same pair for... four or five years now.

Do people just not take good care of headphones?

I'm cursed to add people on facebook that I later find are complete arseholes, but it's too late because now they work with me and deleting them will cause an unholy shitstorm.
I go one step further and assert that Facebook is the curse, and that people should stay away if they value their lives.

I don't think I really have any curses to speak of. Maybe that's just science brain talking.

Its almost a sure-thing that if my life is going reasonably well, something will occur to derail that (sometimes minor, sometimes major). Just seems no matter how hard I try to keep things running smoothly, something will come along and sneeze all over it!

I would answer, but you've stolen mine. Memory sticks were the bane of my life from ages 11 to 18.

Oh, I'm also halfway convinced that my dreams can predict the future, but that's not really a 'curse', just a weird element of my life.
Those are prophetic dream's, i could get into the psychological meaning, but i wont unless asked.

Anyways, OT: Luck of the Irish is all i have to say, also my cards, be it driver's, debit, what have you always disappear on me.
What's particularly weird about it is these dreams never contain anything of relevance. I'll be dreaming about something else, then that dream will be interrupted for a few minutes by something completely innocuous, and then the previous dream will resume. The interruption is always so brief and so irrelevant that I barely remember it next morning if I remember it at all, until the event happens that is, and then it will come flooding back to be (It's not always the next morning though, the first time I remember having one of these dreams was when I was 5, but the situation didn't present itself in real life until I was 15).

So in a way, I am cursed. I am cursed with the worlds worst super-power. I can predict the future, but only if what I'm predicting is something that will be of no use to anyone. Natural disasters and terrorist attacks? Nope. My eye into the beyond is great at letting me know when I'm next going to have a conversation concerning bacon though. -_-

Oh no, I'm the exact same way, though mine are when I'm playing games, though since I'm always playing games, doesn't really help. My longest delay so far have about... 2 years i think.

No, I don't believe in magic, or being cursed, but sometimes there is something that just keeps happening, defying all logic, and it's kind of hilarious. What 'curses' seem to occupy your lives?

The memory stick I am currently using is one I've had for years. Every so often, it's gone missing and I've acquired a new one. Then, a couple of months later, I've found this old memory stick and thought 'nah, I've got everything on this new one. I'll just leave it.'

Then, within a week, something happens to destroy the new memory stick. For instance, a school laptop slipped off of the swing around desk attached to my chair because those desks are shit. Laptop? Fine. Memory stick? Crushed. Or the time I was pulling a memory stick out of a USB drive. It stays firmly lodged in, but the casing disintegrates in my hands. My memory stick is cursed to destroy my other memory sticks with dark magic! :D
No, memory sticks now are just far less durable. And the more memory they handle, the less durable they are. I have an 8 gig that is three years old, and I only ever used it in my car to plug into the radio and play music, but I have bumped into it repeatedly with my knees, or one of my friends has, and it is fine. I bought a 16 gig last year for my photos and document storage, and I broke it after like 9 months, the first time I bumped into it with my knee.

That said, no matter how much better my life gets, (I have a great girlfriend, a lovely family, and a beautiful daughter) everything in my life keeps getting worse (the woman I moved here to be with left me after our daughter died nearly 4 years ago, I lost my job, and now I had to sell my car and Playstation 3 just to pay rent last week because my girlfriend is unable to work because she keeps having seizures, and can't be left alone for longer than an hour, meaning I also can't work) the longer I live in this town.

I inherited this "curse" from my mother, and I know exactly what you guys mean. Also, I can't ever have non-lucid dreams, so although I rarely remember them, when I do remember my dreams, I have a hard time telling them apart from reality.

Firstly, ending this quote chain, and secondly, as far as i can remember, I've NEVER had a lucid dream, then again, i haven't even got 20 years under my belt yet, so who knows, may change soon.
