Custom Skins-- I need help!!

I'm trying to reskin the female gangrel from Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, but I have no idea how to work the VPK tool. Can anyone walk me through it?

EDIT: I also have Gmax, but I don't think I can use that for reskinning.

I'm not sure. My sister used to make custom crap for the Sims, but I don't know how she did it. I'd try a Wikipedia page.

I seem to be having a difficult time dropping in custom skins for TF2 on a related note. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I've got a sweet one where the engineer's PDA is a nintendo DS that I'm pumped about using.

I would download a skin pack, but it's only the gangrel I want to change, and all the ones I've found look like whores...

Servers have the option to disable custom skins, and most servers disable skins because there are some exploits possible.

After messing with the VPK tool for a while I can't help with that, but the skins would probably be a .tga file, and you need something capable of editing those files(photoshop) to create a custom skin.
