So I beat Red Dead Redemption Earlier this morning and was amazed; I've never felt quite so strong a connection to it's characters.

But that's just primer for my actual discussion: the moment my duster coat was unlocked I put it on. It was with me throughout the whole game, through the good and the bad. I became a hero in it and a legend in it. Now for the spoiler portions:
When Dutch was finally dead, I rode home and off came my duster coat, because the game auto-gives you the Rancher outfit. I kept it on. My life of killing, roaming the west looking for wanted men and taking bounties had ended: I was a farmer now. Then, the government came, and it took it all away. Marston died in his rancher outfit, which I found rather poetic, and even somewhat profound. When the epilogue fired up, the first thing I did was have Jack walk into Blackwater, put on his father's duster coat, buy his American Standardbred and equipped my favorite pistol throughout the game: the double-action revolver. Then I set off. Oddly enough, Ross was killed by the semi-automatic pistol, the one that Dutch used.

I found that even more poetic. And now the game is "done", and Jack is still in his fathers Duster coat.

And it's never coming off again.

How have you changed the impact of the endgame with outfits, weapons, etc.? It doesn't have to be Red Dead, it can be anything.
