So I went out of the borders in the south and I found, probably not really anything but...

The wierd tower looking thing and the water around it is in a very similar shape. I doubt it's anything but maybe a expansion where you go back to Cyrodiil?

I think it'd be pretty cool.
Honestly, I'm still praying that Bethesda makes some sort of super game that involves all of the continents and is just a gigantic epic adventure.

Hmmm, looking at my map of Cyrodil on my wall and there are some similarities. Though 200 years have perhaps changed the landscape, I wouldn't say no to a wild night in Bruma so my Nord can visit his ancestor's grave! Though maybe we'll just get to the Imperial City?

Yeah, but remember Cyrodiil is supposed to have been torn up in the war with the Thalmor. It'd be quite a different environment and state now than it was during the previous Era.

Now, will Morrowind be there in the East? It is weird that mesh is there, quite possibly just a little easter-egg for those of us who enjoy running off the map.

I remember in the Bethesda forums people asking for a New Vegas dlc that brought you back to Washington, over and over and over again. NOSTALGA TIME

I thought you could go to Morrowind in Oblivion. At least a bit of it.

Well, somebody made a New Vegas mod where you go to the wastes of Washington from Fallout 3. It's not that far fetched.

It's pretty obvious why that's there :p People have a knack for climbing mountains and trying to get places they aren't meant to go.

That's probably placed there on the off-chance that someone manages to sneak a peek in Cyrodil's direction. What you see there is presumably a version of white gold tower intended to be seen from a large distance.

It's certainly not part of an expansion where you return to cyrodil, that's just silly :p And expansions don't work like that.

Remember that Morrowind actually touches Cyrodils northeastern border. The part where we played in Morrowind though, no. That was Vvanderfall, which is a big honking island way way to the north east of cyrodil in an inland sea.

So north of Bruma is the border to skyrim (presumably where your char was coming from at the beginning of TES V), east of cheydinhall is morrowind, and so on. Relevant link to a map that shows it.

I knew that it's on the border to Cyrodiil, I'm just wondering if there's a cave or something that actually crosses the border :3

No, they called it Arena since it was originally just going to be an Arena combat game. A medieval-style gladiator game was all it was going to be. They just never changed the name when they changed the game.

It's possible but don't expect to explore every inch of every continent at all. The land will have to get divided up big time as to what land you will see of each continent.

That's not the reason it didn't have a specific name. It was called Arena because it was originally intended to follow suit with Bethesda's previous sports games and essentially be a game based on a gladitorial arena combat and constructing teams with new fighters. However, they ended up adding and adding and adding to the parts in between the arena combat that it ended up being an entirely different game all together, so they created the lore and developed it into the first Elder Scrolls game and obviously keeping the orginal title as a subtitle, Arena.

I should really learn to read other people's posts first in future lol.

Probably just a case of the dev team thinking of everything [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheDevTeamThinksOfEverything]. You know, just something special for the people who would do something like get out of the map and go south.

That's not an expansion. it's a fanmade mod...

big difference.

No you couldn't.
Technically you could go to where the map said "Morrowind" by disabling the borders and just heading East. But you'd eventually just get to the end of the game-world.

Yes. I said it was a mod, in fact. But thank you for reminding me, my brain is made of cheese and I have the memory retention of a dog with Alzheimer's. The service you have rendered me in repeating my own post back to me is astonishing in its value.

So... what's your point?
