(No, I don't mean DDO)

Here's a question: Is there a website/program out there that allows you to play D&D, the make-your-own adventure kind (not premade) over the web with strangers? I always feel like playing, but it's such a pain to get a party together with my schedule.

Fantasy Grounds [https://www.fantasygrounds.com/home/] is a beautiful looking tabletop game simulator, with the downside that it costs money. I've played around with it on someone else's copy, but I've never actually played a game with it.

RPTools [http://www.rptools.net/] are a much less pretty, but completely functional solution, with the upside that they're free.

Myth-Weavers [http://www.myth-weavers.com/forumhome.php#] is a good site to post your character sheets and then you can use any chat system (a few of them have dice rolling programs. I forget which) and play that way, which is the only way I've had experience. the downside of this is that you don't have a map that you're looking at.

In addition to these you'll probably want some sort of voice chat.
