"Well dumb ass, how about actually investigating it like a normal person instead of raising the dead like the sickos I have to fight off every day. He's not contacting anyone in my family. End of story."

"I have been investigating, asshat, and I've got several solid links connecting you to our mystery antagonist. You're simply refusing to help us, and impeding us in some circumstances. If you truly have nothing to hide, then allow us to make certain several things, and we'll go down our respective paths. If you are hiding something, then you're simply delaying the inevitable. My apologies for the semi-endless accusation, but look at things from our perspective. Besides, the only way to survive working with DICE is to be as paranoid as possible." Aaron never looked away from the demons strung up on the wall as he gave his mind.

"You bore me."

When Isaac embedded Eligor in the wall, Aaron, only a few feet away, strode forward to retrieve the sword. "You're not helping yourself, Isaac. All you need to do is prove that you're not our enemy."

When Isaac pulled the lever, Aaron panicked. "Shit, don't do that yet! We don't know if that's the best idea!" Aaron sprinted over to the stack of papers, Souldrinker in hand, and rummaged through them, searching for details as to what happened to the Russian mage girl.

And with that, Eligor was thrust into the wall, partially splitting it, yet another indignity he had suffer while imprisoned in this form. As steel met solid wall, Eligor mumbled to himself, "I truly miss home, don't have to deal with difficult mortals such as these back home..."

The man with a hat proceeded to retrieve the sword, prying it out of the wall and rushed over to some paper after a few words with dear Isaac. The guy thought that rummaged through papers on the girl while having a sword in hand was a good idea. "You could always just set me down!" Eligor exclaimed. It was painful to watch, really it was. He just wanted to just stand guard for a while anyway. Yes... That was the one thing about this place - the lack of guards. Maybe whoever the 'mystery antagonist' was, as the man put it, was either careless or had hired muscle more ethereal in nature.

Why the sudden grab for the sword anyway? What was Aaron going to do? Open letter? Eligor sighed and repeated the same speech again, this time more calmly, "I believe I would be more use to you somewhere other than your grip, to put it politely."

"That sounds serious. You're not gonna kill me are you? That's like, against the good guy code or something isn't it?" The boy asked, sounding scare by the potential threat. He then slowly back away from the group, and kept jamming his finger on the box he was using.

"Hmph. I've never really seen our organization purely as 'good guys'. We're more of a mixture; there are those who are pure and noble, those who are not, and those who lie somewhere within the in-between. Sure, our goal may seem like its good, but good people have often done bad things to accomplish their goals. But, to answer your question child; depends really, on whether or not you'll cooperate." Isabelle remarked, feeling a little conflicted about the situation at hand.

"Though, with you saying that you have guys on the way back here, we shall have to see." She then calmed down.

"Anyway, why don't I ask you a question. What is so important about that safe you're trying to access?

"What's your name, again?" Richard asked, smiling sheepishly. "I seem to have forgotten."

"The name is Zorrama. The Specter of Peace. And I am at your service"

"Are you all right?"

The girl toke Garath's hand and rose slowly off the ground, trying to get her balance"

"Spasibo, ser." She looks around the room. She grimaces at the monsters on the wall, but seems to have gotten use to the sight of them. "Vy zdesʹ, chtoby spasti menya?"

"Yes. Yes we are," Isaac replied. "Ne volnuytes"

"Shit, don't do that yet! We don't know if that's the best idea!"

"She looks alright to me"

When Aaron checked the most resent entry, it mentioned that the scientist experimenting on her needed a critical part before he injected the "splice gel" to the girl's veins. It was more than the likely the green stuff in the vials around the room.

While everyone was busy, they barely noticed the man standing at the doorway, staring dumbfounded at all of them.

"You fools. You fools! You're recking everything."

The overweight scientist pulled a 9mm gun from his belt and pointed waved it around.

"Step away from the girl. Now!"

"Oh, money. Just money. I have my own demon underlings now courtesy of Zorrama. So I thought I'd profit from it in some way"

The boy gave everyone a grin as he backed away towards the window.

"Speaking of which..."

Suddenly, 2 human sized bat creatures crashed through the window, raining glass everywhere. They landed on each side of the child, ready to protect him.

"Say hi to Bruce and Edward. Take these bitches out!"

The first bat fly by at lightning speed and pulled Adriana out of the room with it's claws. The second flew forward at Isabelle, claws extended.

Garath left an illusion of himself standing in his place holding its hands up in surrender, as he faded into invisibility, he drew his pistol and began to walk towards the man, trying to get behind him. In the meantime illusion-Garath spoke, "Doctor Phallus I presume," it said, "Is it all right if I call you doctor, phallus is a bit awkward for a name," the illusion stepped away from the girl, Garath hoped he could keep the scientists attention focused on his double while he snuck up on him. The illusion motioned to Isaac and Aaron to stand down, "We don't want the girl to get hurt, do we?"

The illusion continued to speak, "Really its you who should be giving up, any second now more DICE operatives will be here, did you think we found this place and didn't call for reinforcements, what kind of idiots do you take us for?"

As Garath snuck around the scientist he reached out with his mind to the demon he had bound, he wondered if he could awaken it, it would be more difficult without the incantation, and he was already straining himself with the invisibility, but it would be a good plan B.

"The name is Zorrama. The Specter of Peace. And I an at your service"

"Zorrama..." he had never heard of the name before, it just didn't ring a bell. Other names did, but not this one. So, rather than being a friend, he was someone with Richard's interests at heart? Or, at least, something like that. "Specter of Peace, that's a rather unique title..." He stopped, tried to read the situation. Richard would have tried to figure out where he was by looking more closely out the window, but he still felt somewhat sick and disoriented. The left side of his stomach hurt a bit when he moved around for some reason, and it felt hard. Together with this, and his slowly returning memories, he realized that he had been doing demon biology and DNA sequencing for several years, but he didn't know how he had found out or where. He thought to ask Zorrama, but that wasn't the only thing bugging him.

A feeling, somewhere, told him he should go to the hospital. As bad as he felt, that wasn't the reason, it wasn't just a hospital, but the hospital. Was this part of his memories? Trying to remember it more in detail, he flinched as the image of a girl who looked somewhat like him, hitting him and calling him something. "You cold bastard! "You cold, selfish, scum! why you?! You who didn't even... I hate you! I never want to see you again!" A last slap across the face, leaving it red, but for an unusually short amount of time. He didn't react, he just looked at her as she left. He had to be somewhere.

"I need to go to the hospital, I think," Richard muttered, coldly, but confused. "I think there is a reason I'm supposed to be there, and I'm running out of time."

"Oh, money. Just money. I have my own demon underlings now courtesy of Zorrama. So I thought I'd profit from it in some way" The boy said as he slowly began to back away towards the window, giving the ladies as grin. The name Zorrama was familiar to Isabelle, as the Kouza carrying the explosive back at the base spoke it.

"Speaking of which..." It was at that moment in which two human sized bat creatures came crashing through the window, raining glass everywhere. Isabelle but her arms out in front of her face to avoid the shards. Both of the bat creatures landed on either side of the child, ready and willing to protect him.

"Say hi to Bruce and Edward. Take these bitches out!" The first bat then flew by at lightning speed, pulling Adriana out of the room with its claws. Then the second came towards Isabelle, its claws extended. Isabelle quickly managed to unsheathe her sword, and block the incoming attack; and began pushing back.

"Huh, a bat man, well you are no dark knight that is for certain." Isabelle remarked, somewhat laughing at the fact that she might of just made a bad pun. She then charged her sword with lightning, causing the creature to stagger backwards, briefly stunned from the experience. It then regained its senses, and charged towards Isabelle again, its claws flailing. Isabelle had to move deftly left and right as she avoided the frenzied swings and screeches. Much of the room was getting destroyed as a result. After dodge rolling to the right, she leapt up and cut of one of the bat creature's wings, causing a scream of pain to occur. This shook her briefly, but she managed to refocus herself as it came for another charge.

"If you have fallen ill, I can take care of you. There is no need for concern. What is the matter Richard?"
____________________________________________________________________________________________

The bat creature tried to play the next move smarter. Instead of attacking Isabelle's face or body, it went for her legs. It knocked her off her feet and dragged her down the stairs with Adriana.

Both the girl and Sophia were busy taking care of the other bat when Isabelle was flung into the room. While she was on the ground, the bat jumped into the air and divebombed at her , looking to end the battle.

"If you have fallen ill, I can take care of you. There is no need for concern. What is the matter Richard?"

"I... I don't know. There is just this... ticking? Feeling?" He shook his head, he wanted to leave it. It was the past, right? It was too late now, he had already lost them, they were gone. And he didn't feel sad, even though he should. Or... what was this emptiness? Richard closed his eyes, and fixed his hair, wanting to get rid of the horrible feeling.
"I think I've hit my head, everything is... like that time." How had he even gotten home then, as dazed as he had been. How had he even managed to remember the name? Them. It was those people, had he been shot again? That didn't matter, how had they found him?

DICE. That organization was at the bottom of this, somehow. They had been the cause of this feeling the last time. Damage... his brain was slowly getting itself together in a way, collecting what it could at a speed no other human could. "It's--- you're from DICE?" he had been following their operations for three years or so, sneaking away each time he got the samples he wanted. Had they found him? Why? Was it for his abilities as a biologist... or in order to collect his DNA?
Richard leaned closer to the door, holding the handle in order to open it if he needed to. "What do you want with me?"

As Isabelle was being carried down the stairs, she tried taking swings at the creature, but at even her height she could barely reach it. Vayle meanwhile was trying to help Adriana and Sophia deal with the first bat, when her master was flung into the room and onto the floor, with her sword being embedded into the wall as it flew through the air. Vayle saw this and went to Isabelle's aid as the bat creature dive bombed her. Using her magic, she tried pulling the creature away, but with a mighty swing, it threw Vayle towards a wall.

Despite not working entirely, it did buy Isabelle enough time to recover, and retrieve her blade. It began to glow a crimson orange colour as fire entwined it whilst she unholstered her whip as it burned with the same magic. She then charged at the bat creature, using the whip to try and pull back one its arms, giving time for Vayle to get away.

"Vayle, go continue helping Adriana and Sophia with Bruce, I'll deal with Edward." Isabelle said with some difficulty as she put her physical strength into holding the arm back. The fire magic that was enchanted on the whip caused a burn to form on Edward's forearm, causing him to howl once more.

After a moment, her whip came loose, and Edward looked at Isabelle with seething anger as he charged at her. As he swung at her, Isabelle slid underneath his legs, and kicked him in the back, forcing him to stumble and fall. At the moment Edward was starting to climb back up, Isabelle leapt onto his back, and drove her blade through him, the fire having gone from it. Edward fell to the floor again, and Isabelle was unsure whether or not the bat creature was dead.

Edward's remains ignited the moment his heart stopped beating, and what was left of him burned to ash. The other bat, after having a plentiful amount of bullets pumped into it's body, was starting to only hobble around at best.

Adriana loaded a bullet into her revolver and got up to the bat as close as possible. With a final blast to the creature's skull, Bruce too, was reduced to ashes.

The boy came from upstairs and saw that his friends had failed. All the confidence he displayed before was gone, and had but one option. To flee.

He bolted for the door as fast as he could, hoping Isabelle was too tired from fighting the demon to stop him.

The way Zorrama spoke of DICE, seemed to be proof of that it was true. "You're not from DICE, that's good." How often had he been holding breath, hiding, just for the purpose of DICE not finding him? This man, although Richard didn't care about the use of science, harmony was better than war, right? "You cold bastard!"... emptiness, with a droplet of guilt. Harmony had to be better than war. It had to be better than all those soldiers, shooting or capturing live demons just for the sake of putting them on a table and cutting them up. Every time he saw that, he thought of himself. Should they ever find him, that would be his fate, right? They wouldn't kill him, what his body did unconsciously was too valuable for that. This person, who opposed such a place, he wasn't the same, and that meant he was probably better. Hadn't he tried to ignore the coldness that came with the ticking, he would have known that there were more to DICE than he could remember. However, he smiled instead, and tilted his head. "I guess you aren't that bad," he told Zorrama. "I'm sorry for doubting you."

Richard relaxed, finally, and tried to look out the windows again, wanting to occupy his thoughts. He suddenly realized something, as he saw the ground far beneath them. "This is flying?" he said, not sounding too confused. "How far is it to the place you spoke of?"

Isabelle stood up as Edward burned to ash, wiping the sweat from her brow. She looked over her shoulder and saw that Sophia, Adriana and Vayle had dealt with Bruce. After taking a few deep breaths, Isabelle saw the boy from earlier had come down stairs, and upon seeing his guards defeated; all that confidence he had built up earlier, looked as though it vanished in an instant.

"You!" Was all Isabelle could say before the boy bolted for the door. Despite having just dealt with a demon, thanks to all the training she had when she was younger thanks in part to her father; she still had some stamina to spare for a chase.

"The rest of you try and flank him, I'll go after him directly." Isabelle called out as she began to ran after the boy

"Safe to say they know we're here. Well, time to shine, We don't have anything to ground the thing, so we need to board it. Unless we want to prove that the D.I.C.E 'freaks' can't handle the same workload as the stuck up magic wankers, neck beard white coats and meat headed soldiers."
Kain smiled, he was trying to listen to what was going on in the car, but with Azkar and the cars engine it was difficult. He caught the gist of it though.
'Amnesia, or tricked? Both.'
"Or do you perhaps hold a different opinion? Doubt a swanky mage with 'several generations of history!' could board a retarded flying car and save the day. I'll even take back what I said about your manhood if you do it fast enough."
Kain growled, taking a few steps back.
'I've never been a religous man-' he began bounding towards the edge at his highest speed.
'- but I like to think I've been doing a sacred duty here-' Kain jumped, using as much strength as he could.
'-so if you would care to, make sure I don't end up like that snake or ogre.' He reached, and grabbed the bender, climbing up quickly. He dug one of his claws into the trunk door, and looked through the back window. He made a wide, wolfish grin, and waved at the two.

"The rest of you try and flank him, I'll go after him directly."

The boy managed to make it outside, but Isabelle was right behind him. He began running to the west, taking all manner of alley ways and shortcuts to shake the woman off his trail.

Adriana split went left and split off ahead of everyone, while Sophia tried to take the boy's right. He cut through another alleyway to loose them, but Adriana was waited ahead of him. She fired two shots directly at his feet, missing intentionally.

"Woah!" The boy stopped in his tracks. "Did you shoot a gun at me?! Are you serious?"

The boy was too distracted by his shock to see Isabelle closing the distance behind him.

"How far is it to the place you spoke of?"

"OH. We're making good time. It shouldn't be that far now. Just the northern half of France. I rather like France myself. It's a very beautiful country"

Out of the blue, Zorramma had the back of his car torn open. He looked back to see a wolf man smiling at him.

"Oh. Hello. I'm sure I'd like to talk to you some time, but me and Richard are having a private conversation here. So if you don't mind..."

Zorrama put a hand on the car's wheel and another on Richard's shoulder. Everything, save for Kain and Azkar, became intangible, and the unwanted guests began to fall to the ground below.

"Oh my. I think I may have forgotten something"

Zorrama reached into the back seat and took out a parachute. He opened his window and threw it out, not watching to see if it would get to his victims or not.

"No one will say I don't play fair. Now...," he said turning to Richard "Let's get there a bit faster shall we?"

Zorrama hit a button on the car's wheel and a wormhole like opening appeared in front of them. He drove directly into it, and they began driving through some sort of tunnel,

From his position, all Kain could see was the car disappear past an opening, and soon the ar and the tunnel were gone.

It had all happened in a flash. The back of the car had been torn open, and a wolf-man had smiled to them, with a girl on his back. However, Zorrama had spoken, and pushed them out of the car and towards the ground, and then he had thrown a parachute after them, though Richard couldn't see if they had gotten it or not. Who were they, and why were they following the car? Would they keep following them, if they survived?

"No one will say I don't play fair. Now...," he said turning to Richard "Let's get there a bit faster shall we?"

Richard nodded, the thought of the wolf-man getting to them wasn't a good one. Had he seen them before? Suddenly, due to Zorrama hitting a button or something, and a portal of sorts opened in front of them. The drove to a weird kind of tunnel, probably one that didn't act according to regular time and space. "Who were they?" Richard asked. Something told him that, even with the wolf-look, neither of them were demons. Something clicked in his head. "DICE," he muttered. "I hope they don't follow us." Yet, somewhere inside his wast collection of suppressed, ignored, or plainly forgotten feelings, he wanted them to.

'Screw you god!'
Kain tried to assess his surroundings, he noticed the parachute falling. Too far for him, but... He turned around quickly, grabbing Azkar. He threw her towards it, figuring he could survive the fall. He braced himself, and as he hit the ground he tried the tuck and roll, and although it worked for keeping him alive, he heard, and felt, a sharp crack in his shoulder. He got up, and noticed it was limp.
'Broken.' he frowned, in his current form, pain didn't affect him to much. His human form wouldn't like it though. Right now he had to make sure his comrade was alright.

Isabelle chased after the boy with dogged determination as he went through a series of side alleys and streets. The boy cut through to another alley, where Adrianna was waiting for him. She fired off a couple of warning shots at his feet, causing the boy to screech to a halt. Due to shock, he couldn't see that Isabelle was fast catching up to him, her stamina carrying her through it all. Vayle appeared from an opposite alleyway, covering the right hand side.

"Woah!" The boy said as he stopped in his tracks. "Did you shoot a gun at me?! Are you serious?" He asked, not noticing that Isabelle was right behind him, and managed to restrain him by putting his arms behind his back.

"Whilst she wasn't planning to shoot you child, it did allow me to finally catch you. I'll admit, you certainly are a fast one, almost lost me a couple of times." Isabelle said kindly as she looked at Adriana.

"Good job there, I'll be sure to note it in the report. Protocol would normally state that we take this one back to base, but we should also check in on the second team as well, see if anything else has turned up on their end. Since I'm currently have my hands full, could either you Adriana or Sophia call them please?"

Considering they weren't high up enough to effectively use a parachute. Azkar figured the people in the car did it as a cruel joke, nice of Kain to try and do something nice though. Azkar couldn't work out how she fell the several stories to the ground, she spread out her body flat to slow her descent as much as possible in the mere seconds she had then let her body go completely lax to reduce damage as she smacked into some bins followed instantly by the pavement in an alleyway.

Azkar was barely conscious, but her head had split open and her arms, pelvis and almost all of her ribs were broken. She wasn't going to be alive for long.
