Kain woke up on what he immediately recognized as a Lab bed.
"You know, this was kind of impressive the first time, but now we've reached 7 times, and I gotta say this is getting old. You don't want me to start putting up the bear traps again, right?" Kain fell silent when the man turned. The guy might have been handsome, without the scars. Kain was somewhat proud to say some came from him. The man gave his report.
"All seems normal, except we detect a foreign element in your lungs. We're not sure what it does, if anything, but it does require further study..." Kain held in his sigh, he could get a paper cut and get stuck in the labs for weeks, though he was also curious as to what was in his lungs. It probably came from that prick in the gas mask.

I'll do it. It is kind of interesting.

Voltaire gave a loud, happy laugh when Richard lifted up the badge.

"That's what I like to see. I do hope you get some sort of enjoyment out of your new position"

Voltaire got out of his seat and reached behind the throne, pulling out his trusty spear. He approached Richard with a big smile on his face.

"If anyone asks you what you found out at that man's lab, tell them nothing. Say that the information is protected by the Alighieri Code and leave it at that. They will not question you further"

Voltaire lifted his spear over his head and stabbed it into Richard's stomach. This act didn't give Richard any pain. It instead, gave him the feeling of floating in water. He was bathed in a red light that blinded him. When he opened his eyes again, he was inside his room in the D6 barracks.

A tree suddenly collapsed nearby the two men stationed near the angelic remains, the two and others nearby who heard quickly began fanning into the tree line. Before they got very far one of them had an inkling and spun around.
It had only taken several seconds, but the angel armor was already gone in it's entirety. Only scuffed ground remained.

Azkar continued with frightening speed, it had taken on an elongated and aerodynamic mutation which allowed it to speed along if it was moving in one direction. It clutched the armor against it's chest in a bundle as it continued to run. Slipping through the trees like a speeding bullet.

After about an hour it stopped and dropped it's belongings onto the grass. Nuzzling through it with an armored face. To normal eyes it seemed like damaged armor. To Azkar it seemed as if they were emitting a tremendous light that was nearly blinding. Azkar's armored face snapped open at the jaws, widening even further as they dislocated. The monster then began swallowing the pieces of armor whole, starting with the helmet and the cuirass.

"This...is weird"

Eligor felt a change of scene. For one, it had felt like Isaac had been pulled into something and metal being very good at conducting heat, it was suddenly very, very cold. Eligor felt the heat dissipate and be replaced with the harsh bite of icy coldness. This was all together different from the memory of the flames of hell. He rose out of whatever Isaac was keeping him in and was greeted with the sight of ice and polar bears.

"I take it that you could just open another portal to head back?" Eligor questioned, "Or are we stuck here? An eternity here doesn't look all that appealing to me, nor does watching you succumb to the cold." Then he was remind of a little detail that had slipped out during the fight with the angel, "Or not. Still, we have to get back."

Garath fell asleep, the open book resting on his chest. He found himself in a familiar scene, though he hadn't suffered this particular nightmare in a long time. He was standing in the street, outside of a burning theater, the location of his last show. From inside he could hear screaming, a few others managed to stumble into the street alongside him, nursing horrid burn wounds.

"No, this is in the past, I can't change it," he said, turning away from the building, and finding himself standing on the stage, the crowd cheering in front of him, moments before it all went wrong.

You don't learn from it either, you keep making the same mistakes, never considering the outcome

The moment froze, and out of the crowd came the Kouza he had killed in the armory, followed by the scientist and lastly a child.

the demon spoke "You could have tried to save me, but you didn't, you gave me a choice knowing I had none."

"I did what you wanted, there was nothing else I could do," Garath yelled at the demon.

The scientist spoke "You made my last moments a torturous hell, you could have tried to make me understand but you didn't."

"I, I needed the information, you deserved it," he said, no longer yelling, losing his composure.

The child spoke "You killed me."

"You killed yourself," he argued back weakly.

"What else would I do, confronted with what you showed me," the child responded.

Garath woke in a cold sweat, glancing around to see if the dream was over. He tried to push the nightmare from his mind, and found himself lying on the bed unable to sleep for the remainder of the night.

Isabelle was busy in her quarters down in Division Two, working through a report that she was writing for Miss Noble. Vayle was feeling a little tired after conjuring up the illusion clothes for Kain, as she hadn't created that many illusions before in such a short space of time, and they were more complex than the roses she had often used; so she was sleeping in Isabelle's bed. The light in the room was neither too dark nor too bright, enough so that Isabelle could see what was being written, and that Vayle wasn't disturbed. Isabelle's hat, coat and tie were hung up on a nearby stand; and a couple of the top buttons on her shirt were open to help cool her down.

"Today certainly has been an interesting series of events. First came the incident in Russia, and our first meeting with the Kouza. Then there was the brief occurrence of an unintentional demonic invasion; caused by two unwitting independent investigators. The rescue of a girl who was captured in Russia and was part of an experiment, plus the capture of a child hacker who was apart of it all. Finally there was the appearance of an angel, and the death of Zorrama. Not to mention the various transformations of Azkar.

Though, I suspect that these events are all connected to a bigger picture; a grander scheme that is being put into motion as we speak, and today was only the opening, who knows what lurks upon the horizon. Then again, maybe I am just thinking about it too much. Guess we shall see." Isabelle said aloud, summarizing the events that had happened as she put the finishing details to her report. A small yawn escaped her lips as she rested her head back onto the tall arm chair, and drifted into a light sleep.

It was a white, terraced, unassuming house, much like all the other white terraced unassuming houses on that street, the difference being that this was the house that a demon lived in. You'd think it would be grander. Eliezer walked up the pair of concrete steps to the black front door, number 48, at least the demon he was visiting hadn't fallen into that particular cliché. He lifted his arm up to knock, but hesitated. He despised having to ask for help from other demons, since Raguel had cursed he had become a laughing stock, but it had to be done, he had to get the documents that proved his fake identities, at least Bel was more sympathetic than the others. Best get this over with as soon as possible though. This time without hesitation he knocked on the door.

The door swung open and he was greeted by a beautiful woman, around mid twenties, with a welcoming smile and charming air of calmness. Why Bel continued to use this form was beyond him, nostalgia maybe? Without so much as a hello, she quickly beckoned Eliezer to come in. It had been a while, but he couldn't remember doing anything that would make him deserve such a cold welcome, Bel seemed jovial enough on the phone, had something happened since. He stepped through the door over the threshold and Bel quickly slammed the door behind him and stormed into the front room.

He cautiously followed behind her, the house had been redecorated since he had last been there. He hadn't expected it to be the same, after all, fashion in the human world was ephemeral, subtly changing everyday, it's only when you look back you could tell the difference. But it had changed so much, 10 years had been a long time for humans, so of course it would be different. One thing was still the same, self help books still littered the rooms, you had to adapt to the times after all. He picked one up, it was gaudy, "6 ways to change your life," how original.

"You've been busy" He said as he slumped down onto the sofa, he picked up a Rubik's cube of the coffee table and started fiddling with it, "Why are you even using that form, I'm not a human."

Bel was sitting down at the computer desk, scrolling through some web forum. If he squinted he could make out the header, atheism - the great damner. Demon's had it easy now, no longer did they have to tempt with promises of riches and power, humans were too busy bringing calamity on themselves. They no longer believed that once they died their eternal soul would be weighed and judged, if they had sinned the would be banished to hell, if they had lived a good life and repented their sins heaven. It made life easy, but boring.

"Really, you look human, you don't have any powers, even your aura looks human, are you sure you're not swept up in some grand delusion?" She mocked, of course he wasn't deluded, the whole charade was just to insult him, "You never know who might be watching, some new demon hunting group called Second Coming has been making the rounds and I'd rather not be noticed by them."

"Second coming?" He mused, he wondered if they realised they had titled their group after the end of the world? "The sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken. At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory..." He muttered to himself," How stupid." He had got one side of the Rubik's all one colour, "Have you still got my things?"

"They're in the guest room."

The guest room was a pile of papers and boxes, she could at least have kept it organised. After about 20 minutes of rifling through junk, he finally found what he was looking for; a box filled with a plethora of fake ID's and passports. He grabbed the British one and flicked though to the back. This wouldn't do at all, like so many other things it was out of date, that and it didn't look like him at all, at the memory of hair he ran his hand over his head, it would grow back soon, but not soon enough.

This wouldn't do at all, all of them were either out of date or looked nothing like him, the woe of being bald.

He sauntered back into the living room and again slouched on to the comfortable leather sofa and picked up the Rubik's cube to work on the remaining sides.

"I need you to fix them so I can actually use them Bel" All he got back as a response was her pouting at him, "Come on Belphegor, just do me this one thing and I'll be out of your hair."

"Fine," she agreed disgruntledly, "Give them here, it'll take some time, but you'll not be running out of that soon"She slipped in slyly.

He had slipped into the repetitive motion of turning, adjusting, and turning again, he now had two and a half sides of the Rubik's cube done. Bored he decided to talk about something more relevant.

"So what are you planing to do about Second Coming?" He asked, if it was ons Bel's radar then it had to of gotten the attention of the others.

"The Seven are holding a meeting about it soon. But that hardly concerns you," She replied, scowling.

"Fine, fine, if you're gonna be like that."

This was getting boring, he hated waiting, he hated not knowing what was going on in hell, he had Raguel to thank for that as well, he reshuffled the tiles on the now complete cube and started over.

Richard had been sleeping it seemed, but the silver badge in his hand told him that the events before hadn't been a dream. He didn't know how it had happened, but that wasn't important. What would happen to him was. "This is some situation I find myself in." He sat up in the bed, and tried to look into the mirror on the opposite wall, his pupils still too large and hair messy. If one had to describe it with simple words, he looked as if he was drugged. However, it wasn't the first time he had felt like that, his body was simply overworked, his ability to recover somewhat exhausted. "I don't think I'll be able to sleep now. Nor eat, there are more important things right now. First of all, I have to hide the---" He suddenly realized that he wasn't in possession of his gun anymore. Where was it? Looking around, lifting the duvet and pillows and looking through the stuff that was in the corner of his room, it was gone.

Had someone seen it and removed it? He shook his head. Somehow, it had to have been that Voltaire. So the mummy knew he had it, yet he hadn't reacted to it? Richard suddenly felt more confident in his choice of not using it, his situation now was unsure, of course it was, but that would have been worse. "I need to think about something else," he thought. "I'll head down to the labs. After cleaning myself up, of course." He showered and shaved the slight stubbles on his face. Richard then found a clean set of clothes -a dark gray sweater with a pair of dark pants- as well as a clean lab coat back in his bed-room. Richard then put the badge into his pockets, as well as the items from the box. He seemed to have a larger and larger amount of items he didn't want people to find.

After a bit of hesitation, he took the note where he had written down the email address that belonged to Allison, perhaps he'd send her a mail, considering the days he had a free will might end -the chance of him actually becoming the boss of D6 was smaller than he liked to think of, and that was the only way they would keep him around like this- he figured he should... well, he wasn't sure. Still, having it made him calm down a bit, he hadn't noticed he was tense before now. Normally, he would already have been out of there, but from what he had seen, that wouldn't work anymore. Richard shook his head, and combed through his hair, making sure it looked decent before smiling. The face in the mirror was one still looking confused, smiling only with the mouth, eyes expressing an unusual amount of mixed feelings.

"And now, for some code cracking," Richard thought, and made his way over to the labs. The second he entered, he noticed that nothing was different from before. He almost had expected it to be, but then again, he was the one who had changed. Richard didn't spot the boss of his part of the division anywhere -well, no matter how it went, that boss wouldn't be his boss for long anymore- and so he decided to just take a look around. They weren't that many there, but the feel was very different from how Zorrama's lab had been. He didn't like the amount of people there, which was why he rarely did any work with others willingly. Richard was thinking about asking one of the others -one of the ones that hadn't stolen any of the samples in his lab yet- but he noticed one of the people that had been in France, the one with a bowler hat and red eyes. Why was he there? Richard was certain he wasn't part of D6, and he didn't look like someone who would just randomly drop in because of curiosity. And that in turn made Richard a tad curious, though that was enough for him to decide to talk to the man. Besides, perhaps talking to this person would bring some of the lacking memories to light.

"Hello, I wouldn't think you'd be here. You were in France right?" Richard smiled, hoping that the man wouldn't just remember him as the guy who potentially screwed up really bad by killing Zorrama.

"I take it that you could just open another portal to head back?" Eligor questioned, "Or are we stuck here? An eternity here doesn't look all that appealing to me, nor does watching you succumb to the cold."

Isaac closed his eyes and breathed on his hands; trying to both warm up and focus on what went wrong with the portal. The location of the base hadn't changed, and his power's didn't feel too out of sync.

"We can head back. Just got to try this again I guess" It was then that Isaac realized something he hadn't thought of before. "Hey. You were just kind of floating around when I found you. Who do I give you to once we get back?"

Azkar opened her eyes. She was upside down, dangling. She also seemed to be wearing a helmet or something. Where was the weird floating car? Where was she? She had to take it all in very quickly. Her only article of clothing was the helmet, which soon dissipated into nothing, as if it were just waiting for her to wake up. She saw her hair drift in front of her face, it was white again, she was also pretty much white. She figured she was albino, but of course she was. She leaned upwards, her body was once again fused to her old form right above where her genitals started, or would have started? She continued to dangle and laugh. Being normal had been fun, but she felt complete now. She'd rather be completely fucked up then something she wasn't. For the first time in forever she felt like she was herself. Like a deep fog had been removed from her mind and heart.

Azkar was in a forest, dangling between her legs and arms, tentacles dangled around her as she felt sharp impacts and hitting her now complete body. Azkar's monstrous head roared as her form jumped up and bent over backwards, allowing her human-like section to to 'sit' up and look around. She was surrounded by what appeared to be a French infantry unit, who had only just stopped firing once seeing her. She figured they thought she might be a prisoner or something.

There were about a dozen of them and they had her partially surrounded. Azkar figured she would just run. Then she spotted one of them to the back slightly behind a tree, talking into a back radio.

He was calling in the situation.

"Well now, I guess my life just got a little more interesting, didn't it?" Azkar gave a wicked grin as her chest snapped around her. She slammed forward and screeched, startling the soldiers.

"Hello, I wouldn't think you'd be here. You were in France right?"

Aaron turned around, startled. "Hmm? Ah, Richard, good to see you. Yes, I was in France, and I believe you were too. You killed Zorrama, correct? If so, congratulations." Aaron resumed looking around the room, clearly looking for something specific.

"It seems he doesn't know the details around what happened, which is good, considering that what happened is now secret." "I'm not sure congratulations are in order, but thank you." The man looked around the room. It was clear he was there for a reason. Richard tried to see what it was, but it seemed the man in the bowler hat didn't even know where it was. "I lost a bit of my memory back there, so I can't remember if we have met officially or not. Either way, this might seem rude, but what are you looking for?" Richard asked, both curious and wary of the man.

"Ah, such a shame. I'm Aaron Pertition, in case you don't currently know. I put in a request for some equipment, and I'd like to pick it up and make sure it works before a field test." Aaron chuckled, remembering the last few times field accidents had happened.

"However," Aaron went on "the main reason I came down here personally was because I heard some interesting rumors." His voice lowered and his head tilted down in an attempt to not be overheard. "I heard that you guys uncovered and were restoring an interesting artifact you dubbed "the Zodiac". There were some ... colorful rumors that were flying around, and I was hoping I could uncover the truth."

"I heard that you guys uncovered and were restoring an interesting artifact you dubbed "the Zodiac". There were some ... colorful rumors that were flying around, and I was hoping I could uncover the truth."

Richard looked around, and while he didn't lower his head, he pretended to rub his nose with his index finger so that people couldn't see what he said. He spoke a bit softer than usual, making what he said hard to tell for anyone not standing there. Besides, from what he knew about it, anyone who wanted it obviously didn't want it for research. "Interesting," he smirked. "I've heard a few things about it, and it's function is... somewhat known to me. Although it's not my field, talking about secret projects within the department is as common as talking about the weather here. You won't be able to get access to it though, they keep it hidden in one of the storages, only a few members can enter that storage room to it due to what the item is supposed to do. And yes, the rumors you've heard about it are most likely true."

Richard stopped. How far was he willing to go? To what extent was he supposed to keep an eye on the divisions? Was it only D6? Well, that didn't matter, because not doing what he was supposed to was a way to use his freedom. Besides, Aaron seemed to be plotting something, and considering it was not with DICE's consent, it could be related to something that could help him out in the long terms. Worst case scenario, he had something to tell Voltaire about. "Geez, I why do I worry about this? I'm supposed to just be doing whatever I want, which is figuring out the demon DNA. Instead I do this. Perhaps... no." he shook his head slowly, letting the thought go. There were no way out of now, they would find him again, and he doubted he'd get a third chance. "Listen, I can't help you right now, and I doubt anyone else would be willing to help you with this. It is a secret, after all. However, I might be able to later, depending."

"We can head back. Just got to try this again I guess" It was then that Isaac realized something he hadn't thought of before. "Hey. You were just kind of floating around when I found you. Who do I give you to once we get back?"

"No-one in particular." Eligor replied, "I just... lay around."

Eligor thought for a while, the truth that sentence had biting into his mind. His relationship with D.I.C.E. was rocky to say the least. But this little outing on the arctic ice presented a nice little opportunity. One that had been denied him for quite a while now. Isaac had the power and Eligor had the brains. With this, he could be rid of D.I.C.E. and even make steps to get rid of the pesky curse. But then again, what would be the point? Would you rather be an all-powerful slave or a free weakling. He then scoffed at the thought of the angels, they had clearly made their choice long ago. No free will, just divine vengeance for anything not of the Divine. He mentally shrugged and left that question for later. After all, asking wouldn't hurt, would it?

"Can you conjure up a portal to any location? How about somewhere a little hotter, perhaps?" Eligor said with a mischievous glint in his eye, "After all, I do have some unfinished business to attend to over there."

"Yeesss?" Isaac responded; unsure about the last bit Eligor said. "I can take us anywhere as long as I kind of know where it is in space. Havn't had much trouble in the past weeks" Isaac cocked his eyebrow, a little confused and not getting the hint. "Where exactly are you planning to go? Brazil? Africa? You know that place has malaria right?"

It was a few hours later when Isabelle awoke. As she rose from her chair, she noticed that Vayle was still asleep, a little smile formed as she looked upon her trusted assistant, finding it to be rather cute. Realising that Christina would want the report soon, Isabelle quickly gathered it from her desk, put on her coat and tie then her quarters, leaving Vayle to sleep in peace.

The corridors leading to Christina's office were quiet, an occasional voice could be heard, but the details couldn't be picked up on. Lighting gave off a warm fire like glow, looking more archaic in comparison to the electrical lighting of other floors. When she first arrived here as a young teenager, she heard that the corridors of Division Two used to be lit with traditional fire torches; though a few accidents had occurred with magic users unintentionally setting themselves on fire with a backfired spell, forcing them to rethink their choice.

Isabelle arrived at the office door, it being made from a thick sturdy wood instead of metal for some reason. With a few moments to adjust her clothing, she knocked on the door.

"Miss Noble, its Isabelle, I have a report her for you regarding the London mission from yesterday."

Eligor sighed. Subtly was lost on this man. He would have to spell it plain and simple. But that would not ease the impact of the words. Nevertheless, Eligor wondered if Isaac even knew where Hell was situated in the grand scale of things. It would be good to go back home after all these centuries anyway. Was Hell still an eternal battlefield filled with flame and chaos or had they done some redecorating while he was away? Eligor had so much to catch up on. And there was the matter of whether he would still be recognized by its denizens. He turned to Isaac, who was going on about malaria or something or other.

"No." Eligor bluntly responded, "I'm talking about Hell. Can you or can you not open a portal there?"

Aaron mildly lit up with interest as he both heard Richard's words and spotted something out of the corner of his eye. "Lovely. Now, as much as I'd like to hound you for details, I see my package being moved, so I need to move in to intercept it. Here's my number, though. Call me know when you have more info, and I'll do what I can." Aaron handed Richard a business card and moved off to intercept a woman carrying two small packaged cylinders. After hassling the woman for a minute to convince her that he was Aaron Pertition, Aaron picked up a stray welding mask off a table, muttering something about "just in case" as he headed to the central elevator.

"Miss Noble, its Isabelle, I have a report her for you regarding the London mission from yesterday."

The voices within the room fell silent when they heard the knock at the door.

"Oh yes. Isabelle. Please come in"

The door slowly swung open as if on it's own accord, allowing Isabelle entry. Christina was sitting at her desk in bright red robes. There was a gentleman sitting opposite her. When he turned, Isabelle could see he was wearing the uniform of a member of the British Special Air Service. A long, brown beard came down to his chest, and he wore a thin pair of spectacles.

"Ah. Hello there ma'am" The man got up and offered his seat to Isabelle as he stood up and braced against the wall.

"No." Eligor bluntly responded, "I'm talking about Hell. Can you or can you not open a portal there?"

"Hell?" Isaac was taken aback by the request. That would be new on his list of places he's been to. Still, he questioned if it were possible.

"Maybe. That does kind of have one problem attached to it. Where is hell, exactly? Is it actually below the ground? Is it in another realm? How does it even work?"
