So the newest album from our two favorite musical robots is out. I'm currently headed through all the tracks and I'll toss out an opinion when I'm done.
But if you've already listen to the album, do you praise it, kinda meh. Or you that one guy whos gona dislike it.
But express yourself, discuss. Do what you'd do with this.

I don't know what to think of it. A lot of the album is very swing and miss for me. I enjoy "Lose Yourself to Dance" and "The Game of Love" but the rest is just... I don't know, I just don't enjoy it. Maybe after a few more listens I'll "get it" but for now i'm giving the whole album a pass.

I really don't get why they want to bring back disco-ish music back. Sure, maybe the dancing was better but the music was boring as all hell.

Oh and I forget "Doing it Right". I enjoy that one as well.

Haven't listened to it yet. If it is anything like Discovery I'll probably love it.
We'll see.

It's definitely one of the best sounding albums I've heard in a long time. Brilliantly engineered, listening on good speakers is heavenly. Probably the main reason I'm going to buy the vinyl. Musically, on the other hand, the album is fairly bland. There's some interesting stuff, but for the most part, I think Daft Punk should have stuck to sampling. Homework and Discovery, while not as polished, have infinitely better songs. There's very little about this album I find musically memorable. The full length of Get Lucky is atrocious. The radio edit is far superior, by being short enough not to get dull. By the end of the full version, I'm bored, particularly of the funky guitar riff, which starts to grate. It's a well crafted, but only average album in my opinion. Certainly undeserving of the hype from the media.

It's definitely different compared to some of their recent work and their old classics.

They seem to have an overarching theme in this album, which is good, and many of their songs are well made and solid.

Having said that, and being a passive listener of Daft Punk who is more familiar with some of their older work, I was only able to find a few songs that I truly enjoy listening to over and over again. These include "Get Lucky" and "Give Life Back to Music."

I haven't listened to it all yet, but going by what I've heard so far...

The first half of the album is a little hit and miss, but I'm a good chunk into the second half now and I like what I've heard.

Touch was a brilliant track.

It's quite different from their previous ablums (way more vocal) but overall I do like it, I've just have to get used to the new style of their songs.

Well I've give the album a few listen overs. I'm quite impressed with everything but track 3's start, not quite what you'd expect. The latter half though is pretty awesome.
But I'm a guy who listens almost exclusively to classic rock, so I'm exposed to all this stuff I consider "new". Some people say its nothing new, but hey, everyone has their opinions and I think this album is fantastic.

Disco, electronic, classic. Some other stuff. It's a nice big mash. You get a variety.

9/10

Edit: Should add in I much prefer the radio edit of Get Lucky than the album version.
