I've noticed this before, the initial crash is recorded, but any part or thing that lands a little later doesn't make it on to the soundtrack. Why?
I'm not certain, but I think LRR mentioned at some point that they can't slow down the sound as much as they can video and thus the video and sound can't really be made to match up.
