Bllleeeeeeeeeah... stupid damned curiousity! I couldn't NOT know what a distended eyeball looked like in slow-motion, and I can't say I'm truly happy that I know now.

What tortures we put ourselves through to satisfy our thirst for useless knowledge.

My appetite thanks you for not using the crowbar.

Maybe later you could drop a rock lobster?

PETA would like to have a word with you, buying a sea kitten for the sole purpose of waste....
My three horses would like to have neighs with you.

Oh wow, that eyeball and on the second drop as well. If that X360 gets crowbarred it will make my Friday even better.
Heh, mine was in jest, animals have no rights.

I thought it was an imaginative drop. The scales flying off were rather surreal. It's not a whole lot different from a bunch of shows that show the after effects of various maimings and attrocities on animals and it's ONE fish. If you look at how much food the average American wastes per day, one fish seems frugal!

Good. Sweet. Lord. I have never hated the words "Once more" so much in my entire life. That is both horrifically gruesome and fascinating to watch.

As for the animal cruelty issues... I'm not sure I'm comfortable calling it animal cruelty, but it's also likely it wasn't eaten afterwards. That said, it was dead and would have stayed dead as it was. One fish purchased is one fish purchased regardless of how it winds up being used. I dunno. It's a moral issue, I agree, but it's not exactly black and white no matter what.

For what it's worth, the fish was bought on extreme discount because it was past the best before date. We were thinking about how to protect it for later eating, but then opened the package and realized that it smelled really funky and was probably not edible anyway. If it makes you feel any better, even though we got rid of it immediately after the drop, it totally stunk up the whole drop area for the rest of the day.

Also I accidentally pricked my finger pretty bad on one of its spines.

EDIT: Grats on your first post, Paul!

There we go. That settles pretty much any moral issues around it for me anyway. The fish was, at this point, waste. There are still moral issues surrounding the fish-drop, but they're on the fishing industries side of the equation, not LRRs. Thanks Paul!

That was really messed up right there, just the way it bent in multiple directions, the scales, and the eye... *shivers*
Looking forward to tomorrows drop, is that red ringed and beyond warranty btw?

As it was flopping around in slow motion after the first drop and it slowly turned to face the camera, I saw in my minds eye the fish's mount open and say:

"wwwwwwwwwwwhhhhhhhhhhhhyyyyyyyyyyyyy?"

Grossest daily drop yet.

Wow. That was pretty disturbing to watch.

Then again, I find dead fish disturbing at the best of times.

Also, guys, I know the sound for this series isn't the most critical of things, but it bugs me a little that it consistently seems to be a lot quieter than any other video on the escapist.

I keep find myself adjusting the volume on my computer before and after watching these.
