Same thing happened here. I was without my games for about three or four days after I sent an email. It takes them a while, but they'll get to you, and once they do, they'll be sure the problem is fixed.

I had this exact problem once. If you have a CD key for one of the things you purchased or some credit card info, it goes much more quickly. Still, it will take about 3-4 days.

The support system seems to be almost entirely human-based, and Steam has millions of users for no more than 100 support personnel (Valve Corporation has 250 employees according to Wikipedia, at least some of whom are programmers, designers, artists, accountants, and so forth).

they would have fantastic support if it got fixed in less then a day, I want some fucken phone support, stupid online only support, all it does it put the ball in the service providers court and the user can only hope they will grace them with the support they need

This man speaks the truth. Steam is a huge venture considering the relatively small group of people who run it. The fact they get back to you at all is a minor miracle.

and of all the support Ive dealt with it takes them the longest to do anything, I can call thq support and not only not have to wait on the phone long but also talk to someone who isnt from india, one of the last times I used steam support I was asking about peggle extreme and why it wasnt on my games list, they told me to reinstall steam, when I did a search on steam it showed that the game was listed as free and that was probably why it didnt show up on my list, and I still havent gotten a good response for why the steam cloud fucked up my plants vs zombies saves

My account got hacked, and they fixed it in maybe two days after I first contacted them, all over just a couple emails. They have the best support I've seen, especially compared to Xbox Live support.

face it, steam is doing support on the cheap and any time longer then a day to get something as simple as a password reset is bullshit, especially when it means your cut of from a large majority of your games

It's annual steam sale week (Also something about jesus) so I'm sure they're getting a whole shitload of "LOL HOW I FICKS MAH COMPUUTR MASHEEN?" among other things, so you'll have to be patient.

This is just stupid. Steam has a 70% share domination of the digital distribution market. Valve easily has the resources to run it with loads of people, if they're choosing to only use a few people then it's their own damn fault and people have every right to complain.

Did you create a problem ticket (or whatever it is called)? You basically fill it out, attach the ticket to the same e-mail address as your steam account and that speeds things up because they don't have to look for the problem (or at least have a better idea about where to start).
