It's time for a PSA here. I'm only so patient a person. This has to stop!
The term "ninja", in relation to internet posting, gets thrown around a lot. And most people are using it wrong. I'm here to shed some light to the proper usage of this term.
How people think it's used
1) You read a thread
2) You see someone who says what you were going to say
3) Having nothing worthwhile to post, you post anyways for some reason, and quote the person saying "Damn, ninja'd!"
THIS IS WRONG.
A proper "ninja" on internet forums goes like the following:
How it's actually used
1) You read a thread and all comments
2) You press type out a new reply to the thread and press "Send" or "Reply" or whatever posts the comment
3) Much to your surprise, WHILE you were typing the thread someone (usually just above you) has posted exactly what you were going to say!
THAT, my friends, is what a ninja is.
I beg you, please stop the madness, because it's driving me to the brink!
