Okay, I know this has been done a million times, but deal with it.

I want to know what movies, books, and original ideas you have that'd make really good games.. and why.
Go into some detail about it. Like genre, what'd you want to see in it, ect.

Ideas that sound decent will be posted.. If I remember to.

My game would be based off the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett. You have an already available slew of wonderful stories to pick from, and many possible game play modes.
You could incorporate magic (the witches and warlocks), fighting (there's always some kind of fighting), time alteration (the Monks), and so much more. It could be made an awesome multi class and race MMORPG, but I'd like to see it as a single player action RPG.

I want to see an FPS that takes you through BT in depth (with minigames to decide your stats?) and plunges you into a Call of Duty quality SWAT scenario that allows you to FREELY use your own logistics to set up the entire operation. It would let you use an RTS mode for the initial response to the incident, setting up for the situation how you would see fit whether it be in downtown New York or Moscow or even jungle operations. Basically put, it would be a kind of military or police sim that lets you go into great detail about how you would run the operation. That would be my dream game.

And it couldn't be short, either. In fact, let there be a random scenario generator alongside a main story. In multiplayer mode, players would control their own teams and would not be limited to the suggested plan. There would also be the option to be the "bad guys" as well. Anything from drug trafficking to bank robbing to hostage taking. This option would be in the main story as well. Hell, you could even make a game based on just being the bad guys. Oh wait, Saints Row already did that. Nevermind.

I was also thinking about a MMO like Drug Lord, where there were police, corporations and small time gangs and thugs all pitted against each other in a gigantic set of major cities. While the law would have a huge advantage of unending backup, or federal funding and equipment, everyone else would have the advantage of the sheer size and accessability of the cities. There would also be the regular Joes, so crooks would have an easier time hiding. They would have the ability to freely move, or blend in with the npcs. The corporates would be like the mafia, not so much concerned with street territory than with making money by trafficking and racketeering. They could sometimes deal with the gangs with trading. They could also bribe the cops into leaving them be or even doing favors for them.

There isn't enough room for me to post the rest lol.
