Today when I was waiting for a friend inside the cinema so we could see Tron Legacy, I found myself thinking how the cinema and the shopping centre it was in would make a good CoD zombies map. Throw some debris down here, have a zombie window here, maybe a Juggernog machine here...

So my question to you, users of the Escapist, is have you ever gone into a place and thought it would make a good map for a game? In fact, just to broaden the question a bit, have you ever done something or seen something (in real life, not on a screen) and thought that should be in a game?

Funilly enough yes. Most of my trips to Asda usually result in me picturing the scenario of a zombie outbreak, the protagonist fighting his way through the super market for whatever reason. Also in the bathroom in the cinema... why? No idea.

Me and my mate have a tendancy to look at the local church and imagine ourselves with a couple o' snipers on the top of it, campin' on a church huntin' fer' zombies!

Yeah, I always do this. I've figured out escape routes and possible weapons in my house already.
I think London should be the location of a massive Zombies RPG, like Fallout, except with a bigger focus on survival and Zombies.
Imagine scaling the Gherkin, or Big Ben, or shooting down at Zombies from the London Eye.
Stuff like that would be awesome to me.

I also thought about this a while back while i was bored at school; I made a whole plan on where to put barricades and how to make a couple quick traps and where we would gather the students to make our stand. So i'd say my school, or just a school, would be an awesome zombies map

The top of a bunch of sky scrapers, you have to move debris to get to the next one while zombies crawl up the sides of the building and they come out the doors leading to the roof.

Also their should be one were you get to navigate a small town and you pay to open a certain building and the zombies spawn at the top of a hill that leads into the town so they walk in and you can go and have a few easy shots by standing in the street but you will eventually have to barricade the shop.

Being an RPGer, I've seen plenty of places that would make good places for either "city" locations to buy stuff, heal HP, etc. Could you imagine the Mall of America in my hometown as the place where you buy your equips and supplies? (Actually...if you go to Vasse there, they actually DO sell swords.) You would have an amazing amount of choices, that's for sure. Moreso if we had the Edmonton Mall as a location, no doubt.

I've even explored a few places that would make good encounter and dungeon locations as well. There was this place at the Renaissance Festival in Shakopee called the Secret Garden where (after passing through a Hobbit Home) you would go down a path where they had set up the "homes" of several known denizens of the forest. I would always think to myself "Why do I feel I'm going to have a random encounter?" every time I've walked down that path.

My old school was MADE for zombies. Me and friends used to sit there and talk about how awesome it would be pretty much every week. When the topic became retarded we said "well, maybe not zombies.. but one hell of an epic paintball war"
