I've seen, and favorited alot of his work. He's clearly an intelligent individual, or he uses Wikipedia like Cerberus to do his bidding.
Either way, he makes alot of valid points regarding us as gamers, and the industry itself.

oh, he sped up his voice so he could compress it into 10 minutes. You know, I suspect this is a guy who could go to 15:00 if YouTube let him. There's something called editing. Also, he asks so many questions, all of which are rhetorical. We know he's got an answer, but first he's got to set it up in a bunch of irrelevant rhetoricals, which he could easily get rid of by assuming that in going to the video we're already interested in asking. Betcha' it'd cut down significantly on his time if he did that.

Also, MovieBob does something like this, it's called The Game Overthinker. But of course, MovieBob is much more about close reading a work.

In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king. Only in game journalism would Floyd be considered a noteworthy thinker and Yahtzee a great gonzo reviewer. Still, it's good those guys are setting some kind of standard that helps people avoid their truly hopeless brethren.

I don't think he talks about anything important to be honest. Except choice, but he was completely wrong in his synopsis of what constituted choice anyway.

Storytelling in games is overated. Sex adds nothing to gameplay. I don't care about learning, complaining about graphics is pointless and women are already becoming gamers at an increasing rate. His musings are entertaining but not informative.
