He was on Charlie Brooker's show once talking about games... Apparently he never beat Gears of War 1. He's a pretty awesome all-round guy.

Yeah he pissed himself at the berserker and never played it again apparently.

That Charlie Brooker thing was amazing though. And OT it's always nice seeing a comedian tackle gaming instead of the usual mundane topics

God damn I love Dara. The man is feckin' hilarious and he seems like a great guy. He's virtually unknown here in the States which I think is a shame seeing as Dane Cook is one of the most popular comedians here and he's complete shit.

Ah Dara, me old mucker. I actually saw him live, and he is ten shades of awesome. Even better, and I know I'm being sacrilegious here, than Frankie or Russel.

In fact, that's part of the routine he did. Dara's a big a nerd as any of us here. Bigger actually. The fecker's about seven foot tall.

Not sacreligious at all there, Dara is a much better stand up IMO than Frankie or Russel. Russel is a bit tame, and Frankie gets tiresome quickly, he's best in very short bouts.

Plus I can't help comparing Frankie Boyle to the king of one liners Jimmy Carr and he really doesn't stand up to that.

If the Russell is Russell brand then I move to have him struck from the list of comedians. I've seen him but all he does is, in essence, talk like a shit... and then people laugh.

Sorry about that, it was a bit overfamiliar, I was indeed referring to Russell Howard, as Mock the Week has the 3, Dara, Russell and Frankie Boyle (I can't spell Dara's last name so am avoiding it in general here .

Although I do quite like Russell Brand, in reasonably small doses. I can see why people wouldn't like him but I think I just love stand up as a genre that I like most of it.

Funny you know, I can't name more than one American comedian I like, Rich Hall is the only one who comes to mind. Oh and Bill Hicks.
