[HEADING=1]Chapter 2:
A Brave Old World[/HEADING]
The green light ceased, and Steven saw himself falling, above the tops of trees, falling down, and down? ?Is this hell? Is this?.? The fall was to fast for even his mind to totally think about, and as he screamed as he neared the forest floor, he closed his eyes, and?
He felt himself hit the floor, he felt the impact, but, miraculously, he felt no pain.
?What the fu??? was his rhetorical question, when he saw what he had landed on, a pile of old, rotting leaves! Miraculous! He was jumping with joy with the fact that he was alive. But then he remembered the events of the last hour or so, and he began to sob, he realised that the last ten years work of his life, and maybe the entire earth may be gone, all thanks to a bunch of fundamentalist idiots!
He started cursing obscenities that no-one could understand, due to their relative aggressiveness, and the fast pace upon which he delivered them. After he had finished his tantrum, he realised that it was dusk, and that he would need to sleep for the night to explore?
Actually, he didn?t know where he was, he was extremely confused about that matter, was he in the afterlife? Was he in purgatory? Or?
?I?ll speculate later, for now, let me please just try to set up camp for the night!? People always were cared of Steven when he talked to himself, but he realised that there were no people around to bother him; with that thought, he began to set up a makeshift camp.
