Well I guess we can all look forward to more adventures with Crazy Steve and whichever boy he can kidnap in the grim alternate future setting. That is of course assuming the book even remembers Batman exists and doesn't diverge off into subplots involving someone else Frank Miller really wants to write about, or some lengthy political screed that takes up 75% of the book.

He would have turn one of my favorite characters into the fixer from holy terror THANK GOD THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN!! and how the hell can he still get work after holy terror. I thought his career died when he made that racist trash and no It's not me being a sjw, it's truly racist. You can make a story about a hero fighting Islamic terrorists ( I've had a story like that for a while in my head) and going fuck terrorists but that not what the story was about. It was how the people of Islam were evil and we need to stop and fear them. It was a story about letting fear consume you and hating others. Even though I hate groups like Isis I will not let myself put that hate on others who don't deserve it and I don't care if that opens me up to being shot, I'd rather die then become the same as people like Frank Miller.

All this is going to be is another book where Frank writes Batman as a crazy sociopath who is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better than Superman, and everyone else is just a dummy head compared to the great Batman (who is more a murderous hobo that found Batman's cape in the garbage than actually Batman.) Throw in some obvious sexism that can get borderline uncomfortable with how much he seems to hate women, the three day old vomit on page that we are supposed to call art, and dialogue written by a paranoid schizophrenic that crapped his pants and started rubbing it on the walls. I couldn't care less about this: I don't read comics except for the odd graphic novel here and there. I get most of my DC stuff through the animated universe and careful analysis of the characters as opposed to their poorly written serials.

For the most part I ignore Frank Miller. The guys gone so far off the rails that I swear it has to be a parody at this point.

However, fuckin DC man. I get that Frank Millers name at one point in time used to be marketable, but that was ages ago now. Frank Miller isn't marketable. The shit he writes now is legitimately racist and legitimately sexist. DC doubled down on the stereotypical comic book readers normal likes and dislikes with the New 52 and it backfired epically. Its why Convergence is even happening because they realized that doubling down on the sexism doesn't sell and stuff like Batgirl actually did sell.

Then they go and let Frank Miller back into the fold to triple down on the sexism and racism.

The book is literally titled The Master Race. I don't give a flying fuck what its meant as, Frank Miller has proven he can't handle anything with class in the last decade.

Why DC would bring him back, let alone okay that title after all the work they're doin to patch up relations after bombing spectacularly with the new 52 is beyond me.

As far as All-Star Batman & Robin, I won't disagree that Batman has mental issues. That's pretty clear to me and I love discussing it while slowly driving my local comic store owner insane with endless fanboy debate. The problem was that it didn't come across as Batman in action, dialogue, or really anything (other than Jim Lee's art which was on point.) What people got was a different character in the bat-suit; it would be like writing a Batman comic, but using dialogue from a Deadpool script. It isn't the Batman.
