Dark Matter Publisher Claims It's An "Episodic Series"

No see, if it was intended to be episodic all along, you'd have stuck a "to be continued" screen somewhere in there.

What? According to the steam forums and pretty much everyone whining, that was the problem... They did put a ''to be continued'' screen in there, it's just that they admitted it was a bug or some BS like that.
Not that it makes the episodic excuse any more valid, just fyi.
