Classical piano music buffs, I need you!

I'm looking for piano pieces similar to these (partial) pieces:

<youtube=Mk1JQk90UbY>

I've found I particularly like these pieces with a dark tone. The virtuosity is a nice bonus, but not neccesary.

Fire away!

Chopin's Raindrop Prelude Op.28 No.15

Starts off rather wistful and light, and then gets suddenly very heavy.

Gloomy Sunday?
It's tones combined with the high Hungarian suicide rate of the time inspired an urban myth that a person was more likely to commit suicide after hearing it.

The other Chopin etude that springs to mind immediately is "Winter Wind" Op. 25, No. 11:

Edit: Oh BTW, if you like the Revolutionary, check out Horowitz' version:

This one is pretty heavy, although it's not entirely a piano piece.

It has its up moments, but quickly returns to being quite heavy.

I understand if it's not really what you're looking for, I mean, it's hardly classical.

It's probably not as flashy as those videos you posted but it does sound quite dark. (well I think so)

and i always thought moonlight sonata sounded dark so I will put that forward too.

I know this isn't game related but this particular song from Bioshock is one of my favorite piano pieces.

Though if we're going the route of concertos then the first is probably darker:

Sort of amazed that this hasn't been used yet:
This is also great. It's not too dark but I find it to have a certain haunting sound to it:
This one is better with the voice but it's still great and definitely fits the dark tone you're looking for:

This is absolutely nothing like the two pieces you posted. I just really like it, and you can't get a much darker piano piece than this...

Not sure if this is what you're after or not but what the hell I love Amanda Palmer.

Ha - I was literally listening to that song when I read that. Ain't coincidence grand?

On-topic: Rachmaninov's C-sharp Minor Prelude is wonderful:

And several of the minor-key Bach preludes are great - this is one of my favourites

(I can't listen to the fugue without thinking of this, though:
