Took 125 hours and 170 levels and beating NG++ but I finally got the platinum. I'm part of the 0.7% now! Elitism activated!

I loved the game through and through and the shortest review I could write is "Ten outta ten, ten outta ten, hundred outta a hundred, best game, BEST GAME!"

I've been playing Dark Souls one for about a year and I just made it to the Four Kings...
Congrats though, souls games do indeed rule!

So I just mathed it out, and you spent more time playing the game since it came out than not playing it. As someone who has been spending most of my time trying to 100% achievement-wise Dark Souls 1 since before DS3 came out and not coming close to your time, I must say, that's a lot of DS3.

For those who want work shown, DS3 came out about 10 days ago, that's 240 hours which minus his 125 hours leaves 115 hours not playing the game. I don't know if I'm making a point or statement here, its just something I felt I needed to do.

Yikes. I didn't know that! Well, puts it into perspective I suppose. I'd never have gotten the platinum if I had a job instead of this blessed three month period of purgatory before college

Saw someone later with almost 200 hours played, so you aren't the worst of it.

I've gone through the game multiple times now but i neither have nor want the platinum. To get the last few spells means either PVP or heavy grinding, both of which are no fun at all.

It's not, it's really not. PVP can have it's moments but I now sigh reflexively whenever I see a Silver Knight

I'm sorry but if he has been playing DS1 for that long and is just now at 4kings, I'd say he is trying harder than anybody I know at that particular game.

I was going to get the platinum until I found out one of the rings for Master of Rings requires rank 1 with Blades of the Darkmoon and one of the pyromancies for Master of Pyromancies requires rank 2 in another covenant. As I have absolutely no interest in the PvP side of the games I've decided I can't be bothered.

There are options to grind it out if you really want it, but It would probably be really boring.

Yeah, but the drop rates for covenant rank increase items from PvE is really low. For example, the Proof of Concord kept for the Darkmoon rep drops from silver knights, I farmed them for a couple of hours and didn't get one.

I was reading comments from people on the wiki trying the same thing. There was this one guy who used the Rosaria's Fingers covenant to reallocate his stats and boost his luck, used the gold coins and wore the gold serpent ring or whatever it's called, all to boost his item find, and in 15 hours of farming the silver knights in Anor Londo he got 3 Proof of Concord Kept. That's not something I'm willing to go through for a trophy.

I'm honestly just having fun running through New Game + with my fully upgraded Farron Greatsword, which is absurdly fun to use mind you, and loving my fashion souls. Silver Mask, Undead Legion Everything else. Though If do FEAR fighting the Nameless King again. The man was a pain in my ARSE. Though less so then Pontiff Sulyvahn. *shudders*

Boosting my luck along with wearing a gold serpent ring + 2 and the mimic head, I managed to get my drop rate quite high for human dreg farming. That took me over an hour though and you only need 10 of those. When I saw the others though I knew I no longer wanted it for this game
