Yeah I've got no problem paying for it. It's not like it's that on-disc unlock b.s.
The content seems to be a decent amount from what I've heard so yeah, it's good news for sure and I can't wait.

...Winter release though...
...that's...annoying.

Cool beans.
I'm okay waiting a couple months, PC users had to wait like... nearly a year or so to get the game itself, so whatevs.

Didn't they also say that they would be releasing the PC version on Steam and if you got it there you wouldn't have to use GFWL?

I read it somewhere earlier but haven't heard anything about it since, so it might not be legit. Hope it is though.
I believe your correct.

Yeah, it's true.

Physical copy still has GFWL, but at least the Steam version won't have it.

Ouch, I was hoping to pick up a cheaper physical copy a few weeks after release but I do not want to live with GFWL.

So I'll have to wait for the Steam Christmas sale then. Curiously though, that article doesn't say whether the Steam release will have GFWL or not, my Steam copy of Fallout 3 had GFWL :/

Just suppose I'll have to wait until after release.

Are you kidding? They're going to complain about the fact that it's not going to be free. That the PC people are getting this content for free, but that they're being forced to have to pay for it. More than likely, they'll mention CD Projekt RED and how they didn't charge under similar circumstances with the Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition. Then somebody will start a petition.
CD Projekt is crazy (in a good way). They really shouldn't complain, because as others have mentioned, it's clearly content made way after the initial release of the game. It's also optional content. Those who're going to complain about it are silly.

Please don't give me the "but people who buy it on pc get it for free!" argument. Those who think that are clearly forgetting that to get the dlc for "free" you'd first have to actually buy the full game.
PC gamers will pay $40, and they'll get the full game AND the extra bits.
Console gamers already paid $40 for the full game, but now they'll have to pay an extra $15 to get the extra bits.
Sort of like how GOTY edition isn't it. You buy the full game early and later on people can get the game and all the DLC that comes out for the same price. At least it isn't as bad as New Vegas (the GOTY edition is cheaper than all the DLC combined..)

Fuck that. So PC gets it for free whilst we have to shell out 1200 MP for it? What a joke, why the hell do they deserve it for free and we dont? I paid the same freaking price they will so why wont I get it for free? Dont try and say you pay more for early access, PC users can only get it just now yet get a better deal for the same price. How is this fair?

PC users were forced to wait, we werent. When it comes out on PC it will have more content for the same price as it was new on consoles. That is not fair. We paid the same as them so why do we not get the same as them?

While that is true, you could also say that (assuming you own a console already) you can get the full game, including dlc, for less on console.

Unless facts changed since last time I checked, it's going to be pretty much a direct port, with hardly any graphics updates or anything. Not to mention the fact that the control scheme for the keyboard and mouse will be a bit weird, and it'll be best played with a controller anyway. If you have a console, you can get the same game with all content for less money. Only seems fair that pc users get the dlc for free, don't you think?
How bout no? People arent forced to play on PC they choose to. They know that it is generally a more expensive platform and they are willing to foot the bill for it. Consoles are certainly cheaper but that doesnt mean they deserve higher prices in DLC and games because of it. If you take hardware out of the equation you will see that PC is getting more for the same price, no matter when you buy it on consoles no matter what price oyu buy it at it is inherently more expensive to get the full game on console.

I'm hoping that this is satirical trolling. I really am. Otherwise the only thing I'm getting from your post is the reeking stench of everyone's favourite word of the moment: entitlement.

This is content that has been developed by FROM Software after the console version was released, meaning the version you played. This is no different to any other developer creating post-game DLC and offering it up for sale after the game's already been out for months.

The fact that FROM and Namco have decided to release the DLC free with the PC version is irrelevant. It's their game, they can release it how they want. Because the PC version has taken the best part of a year to come out, they decided to put in the extra effort to make it worth the wait for PC gamers. Yet because they're not douchebags, they've also decided to allow ungrateful gits like you to access the content as well, albeit for the price of a regular bit of DLC, which is effectively what this is.

Moaning, whiny types like you are the reason we can't have nice things. You paid for the game on release, and FROM gave you every bit of it. They didn't block anything on the disc, they didn't use any on-disc DLC, they gave you the full game for your money.
I love how any questioning of a well liked developer/publisher is instantly regarded as entitlement. The content was made after console release, no one is disputing that. However the game will be priced the same as any PC game, it is not inherently more expensive on PC yet it gets more content. How am I entitled to ask for the same treatment bestowed upon PC gamers? It is dismissive dicks like you who stop any form of legitimate criticism being recognised as such. I have nothing against the DLC being free on PC and I think its great PC gamers have the game, however I am simply asking why PC gamers receive an inherently better deal than console gamers. If they released content on consoles for free yet charged PC gamers I am inclined to believe many here would be singing a different tune. PC gamers wrongly receive unequal attention and treatment from devs/publishers, yet when console gamers receive similar unequal treatment we are apparently entitled for questioning it. If you want equality you have to support it even when you dont directly benefit.

Take it up with Microsoft or Sony then. I don't know about Sony myself, but I know for a fact that Microsoft makes people charge for DLC on Xbox Live. It's the same reason Valve was stopped from giving away Portal 2 DLC to people who have the game on the 360 while PC players got it free. If anything, you should be glad you're able to get the DLC anyway, since for a while it looked like it was only gonna be for the PC version to make up for the wait people had to go through.

The way I look at it, it's a way to say thank you for waiting to the people getting the game on PC. It's something along the lines of Nintendo giving away those 20 free games to people who bought a 3DS before the price drop. They didn't need to by any stretch of the imagination, but it was cool that they did.

Your argument is nullified by the fact that you can go to Amazon, Play, or pretty much any other online retailer, and buy the console version for significantly cheaper now than when it was released. Looking just now, you can get the 360 version of Dark Souls brand new for £22, nearly 50% off what it cost when it came out.

The reason PC gamers get a good deal is because they had to wait. Just like how, if you'd waited, you'd have gotten a better deal with the 360 version.

This isn't some rip-off scam, or the sort of shenanigans that EA or Ubisoft would get up to. This is basic, fundamental economics.
Dont try and claim this is a result of the pricing structure. I bought the game new at £40 on the day of release. When it comes out and PC gamers do the same they will have more content waiting for them yet they will have paid the same price. You recieved it later certainly, however no matter what price or what time a console gamer buys the game now it will have less content than a PC version at the same price. Anyway, why are you so adament console gamers dont deserve the same deal, this is pretty clear cut. PC gamers get a better deal at any price, that is preferential treatment and it isnt fair. I am not entitled for wanting everyone to have the same treatment regardless of platform.

It wasn't fair that PC gamers had to wait a year. Stop complaining, you got your DLC. I own Dark Souls on 360, and I will gladly pay for the DLC. Hell, I might even buy it on PC as well, who knows. Microsoft and Sony force developers to charge for content on consoles, so they really don't have a choice in this matter.

It is content clearly made after the game came out. Why shouldn't they charge for it? Including it for free on the PC port is obviously to help sells on that platform.

I see your point however dont the people who have already bought it deserve a thank you as well? Could it not be a thank you for making their game very profitable already? Microsoft does force many devs to charge for DLC for whatever reason but if that was the reason they didnt need to charge this much, which is a significant price for DLC. If they were forced to charge for it they could have charged a lot less, leading me to believe they are charging of their own volition. Im unhappy that the PC gets an inherently better deal and im getting quite irritated with all the elitists who tell me that I should accept inequality when its on consoles yet throw a fit when consoles receive (equally wrong) preferential treatment. I simply want the same deal for the same price, I just want equality and many seem to think equality only matters when it effects them.
