But if I may give some techical pointers?
- It sounds like you're reading from a script, line by line. Try making it sound more fluid.
- If you are speaking of a certain topic, show it in the footage. (I.e. about the items, show some items)
- Try to show something actively instead of walking around for most of the time, short cuts keep the player more focussed on your video.
Dark Souls is not a hard game though. It's (as you said) all about backstabbing and finding the right way of attacking. I.E. kicking the shield first, then strong strike etc.
Personally I prefer my drake sword + thief combi. Massive backstabbing damage along with heavy armor (I have the Havel Ring so equip load is no problem for me
All in all, good review, just work those pointers in and it will improve even further.
I work at a gaming site as video editor, so I know a thing or two about keeping people's attention
What might help is to make a script before you start yapping. And once you start, make sure you just make a few takes instead of one long take. Also, something just hit me, sometimes you need to stop talking and just show the footage with audio under it. It can be a second or 2-3, just to keep the viewers attention with you.
And it's not your tone, it's the fluency (spelling, I dunno how to but I think you get my point.) of your construction.
Because it sounds like this.
As if you stop for a few seconds.
Every time you make a sentence.
It sounds a bit weird.
You see?
