Darkfall. Will it be any good?

As many new MMORPG's are on the market and competing furiously, one still has yet to show its head on the retail market and that game is Darkfall.

Darkfall has been in production for years and many people are doubting whether it will ever be released. The game works around real time combat, skills, no real gear based areas, warefare and building cities and all sorts of things.

Does anyone think it will be better than WoW or truly "revolutionary" like its developers constantly say. Will it be worth the wait in the long run?

Well I am wondering of whether I should get back into WoW again (though I would have to buy the games again, create an account, etc.) though with Darkfall's supposed release of December 2008, I may regret it.

YEs, I do think it will be better than WoW I am sick of games that you can play by watching you fight, Also the confirmed date is January 22 2009

Getting excited about yet-to-be-released MMORPGs is beyond cliche'.

I might be able to feign it in the name of a big name MMORPG, e.g. Starcraft Online or KOTOR online, but Darkfall Online is one of those obscure european games that tend to fizzle out in the first 5 minutes of play.

A glance at their their features page reveals nothing that wasn't included on the features page of a hundred MMORPGs before it, only to reveal during release that, "oops, I guess that was a little harder than we told our investors it would be."

But, you know, maybe they'll prove me wrong. Feel free to ride that hype all the way to disappointment town and beyond.

Have patience. It will come out. Like most MMOs itl come out still effectively in beta with alotta bugs. It will be played, complained about & ignored by many people for said reason because people have forgotten that all MMOs have been released with bugs & glitches etc on release. Sadly the market is too saturated as it is so unless ur product works perfectly or is unique enough, itl fail quick.

Darkfall is confirmed to release early next year though I expect delays.

I hope its as good as it sounds I really want to feel accomplishment in killing something and being with the people killing the few perma death bosses unlike wow that holds your hand
