Just found out that Darksiders is now available with a 75% discount for the entire weekend (which won't last that long anymore, granted). I downloaded it, and for the first time in years a game actually held my attention for 4 hours straight.

Yes, it rips off every single gaming aspect of other games, but it does it so well and it's all presented so beautifully that you cannot just admire how completely bad-ass it is. :)

So, this is just a head's up for anyone who might have missed this. I am certainly glad I didn't.

Edit: Reworded the title.

It was an ok game, the story got weirder and just gave me the shits in the end tho.

I spent my 10 bucks on Monday Night Combat.

Yeah, looking back on it I have to agree that the title was a bit weird. Sorry, English is not my first language and I changed it (hopefully for the best).

It's pretty rad, but be warned, this as with Super Meat Boy, is best experienced with a controller in hand, so you should have one to plug into your computer.

Oh god no. The demo was one of the most boring games I have ever played. Think I'll skip this one.

I got it, and it was much better than I expected. I heard it ripped off of Legend of Zelda, which is interesting because I've never been able to finish a Zelda game (fucking water temples, is where I stop every time) yet this one seems to hold my attention more; I don't know why.

Bought it, played for about an hour. If I can pick up a controller at some point, I'll probably continue.

Yeah, this game really needs it. I find that games that work best with a controller (like this and Devil May Cry) can still be fun on PC, but I can't help but feel maybe they should be more open about that. Like how everytime you started up Super Meat Boy it recommended using a controller.

Darksiders was one of my favourite games. Yes it blatently rips off a lot of other games but i much prefer it to the ones it's knocking off.

I still get tingly at the end, proper set me up for Darksiders 2. Even though it keeps being put back to account for the amount of time the developers spend licking windows and running around with their pants on their head and pencils up their nostrils.

A controller is indeed better, I played it for about 5 hours now, managing with the mouse and keyboard, but tomorrow when the shops are open I am getting an X-Box 360 controller with a wireless receiver for the my PC. At least then I won't have to stumble with the caps lock, shift and left alt key anymore.

My poor fingers...
