Darkstalkers Resurrection Review

There is one important reason to buy this game; this re-release is being used as the measuring tool to decide if making a new Darkstalkers game a la' Street Fighter IV or Dead or Alive 5 is worth it to CAPCOM. This re-release tanks, we never see a new Darkstalkers; if it does well CAPCOM will see it as incentive to make a new one.

Am I the only one here who always thought Darkstalker sprites are both hideous and completely uneven looking in quality? To me it's too bad, because I really do like the character designs and the fighting engine, but I can't get past the aesthetics. I'm pretty sure they didn't redo the sprite work at all (based on the gameplay footage I saw), but if I'm wrong then feel free to correct me.

Perfectly timed for the for me getting a new job. These games were in seriously short supply for the UK, so I'll be glad to give it a try.
