In KotOR2, they mention that after setting up the Empire/Republic/Whatever to prepare their defenses, Revan takes off alone into Unknown Space to go deal with the "new threat".marter said:
And as memory serves, the ending to KotOR2 has the Exile head out to follow him as well.
So...yeah, that's about it.
Probably going to be the plot for KotOR3 if it ever comes out.
It simply leaves an available plot line open,
"Revan is here, we don't what he/she's doing but it will be revealed in KotOR 3."

I hope he has a nice trip. Challenging some of the True Sith... Not your average vacation.
Would be fun if he comes back as a another party in the Jedi/Sith war of the Old Republic to deal some damage. On the one hand Revan coming to back the Jedi, on the other the Sith from the Unknown Regions to support (usurp? You know how those Sith are...) the Sith fighting the Jedi Order.

LucasArts have probably stopped making KoToR III, meanwhile try out mass effect 2 as it's basically more of the same (except Gears of War got involved!)
I assume you're referring to the veiled hints dropped in KotOR II about Revan encountering some mysterious unknown threat that was bigger then the Mandalorians and the Sith, sometime after the Mandelorian War but before the events of KotOR. Then following the the events of KotOR when Revan began to regain more of his memories and remembered all this, he left to face this veiled unknown threat by himself.
I'd rather not talk about it, since we're now getting a MMO instead of a proper sequel (KotOR 3 was cancelled years ago).
BUT, Obsidian in an interview said that - if they could do the game - they'd have had the "real threat/True Sith" be the remnants of Naga Sadow's empire. Something like that. Not that that matters anyway, because only Bioware would be allowed to touch the next (real) KotOR game.

It only really set up the ending which was the set-up for Kotor 3. Which I will pay a lot for. Why the hell do star wars games take up so much space on my hard-drive?arcstone said:
