Dat Game People Should Support

It seems that for the first time since I started gaming, I feel the need to vote with my wallet. I buy games like Persona 4 Arena new even though I'm not much of a fighting fan (note: turns out it was awesome) because I feel the need to reward the risk and show that there is an audience for that weird little game. So what's your weird little game you would like people to support?

For me I've been playing Miasmata. It's a survival simulator where you end up on an abandoned island stricken with plague. From there you have to search the island for a cure, all while managing fever, dehydration, hostile wildlife and such. The immersion is great, you never go to a game menu, every information is displayed using in game options. You don't have a magic map that shows where you are. Instead you have to chart the island using cartography. This can (and most likely will) lead to situations that leave you hopelessly lost in the jungle. Low on water and afraid of what might be lurking in the bushes as sun sets and you desperately need to find shelter. And when you finally find a shed in the middle of the woods the reward is greater than all the levels or loot you could earn in any MMO. It's quite unlike anything I've played and I hope you guys will check it out.

Everything in the Tales series. That way they'll see there's a market for this series here actually release the damn games in America. I'm still upset that Tales of Vesperia PS3 is Japanese only. All because they decided to develop ToV on the PewPew Shooty McFaceBullet console first and got poor sales. >_>

I support League, not because I think Riot deserves my money or anything. Their skins are just too awesome to pass up. Eternum Nocturne? Reaper HECARIM? Pulsefire Ezreal? Christmas Slag Slay Belle Katarina? Bad Santa Veigar even. I HATE Veigar and I love that skin!

I buy practically everything new so saying "i bought X new to support Y developer" is pretty pointless, in fact I would say I usually intentionally buy something preowned if I actively wanted to deny money to a publisher. Basically any Activision games, not that i've been buying any lately anyway.

Oh and fuck P4A. You know what the release date is in the EU regions? Neither do I! If they expect full price after that delay I might even boycott the game entirely. Shabrys will have to go unmained sadly. The amazing "no I wanted to win with the instakill" throws will never happen... Meanwhile, in Marvel, Vergil's lvl 4 continues to be infuriatingly whiffed in key moments. Even when I could literally High Time > super > GG... Being flashy is infinitely more important than winning cleanly.

Not really a game, but right now I'm fully behind THQ. Honestly I admire a company who didn't want to sell-out by releasing casual schlock and had to bite the bullet because of that choice. That and the Saint's Row series rekindled my love for games.

For me, currently that game is Starbound.
http://playstarbound.com/

It's the unofficial "sequel" to Terraria, though that isn't an entirely accurate description..
Tiy, the guy who did Terraria's graphics and art is heading the project (and no, Redigit has nothing to do with Starbound at all, if you're one of the many who has nothing but scorn for him).

Starbound's has no set release date (they aimed for the end of 2012, but missed it), but it's deep into its Beta now, and is probable that it will launch by March 2013 (or sooner).
