No, I haven't been reading your other posts. I apologize. I forgot I posted here, have not been following the thread, was on this morning, noticed I had some quotes, and took it from there.
I half-way agree with you about your definition of bad journalism. It's not bad journalism to ask honest, stimulating questions. It is, however, poor tact to phrase them in such a way as you illustrated. Granted, poor tact is part of bad journalism, but poor tact alone does not bad journalism make.
In other words: yes, you do ask Denis Dyack if continuing the Too Human trilogy is a good idea. Yes, you do ask him if the combat system in Too Human should be overhauled. No, you don't point out that the game had mixed reviews when you do so.
For the record, I want the Too Human trilogy to be completed. I rather liked the game.
Fair points, and I'll agree to most of them, but points must be made for the sake of it!
I'm not saying that the journalist shouldn't ask Jaffe about the condition of the PS3, but when you put in plainly obvious
opinions of something (like "lackluster reception" for one example") then that is bad journalism.
If the journalist had put something on a more factual base, like saying "The Ps3 hasn't been selling amazingly well, so what do you think will pump it back in the race?", then this would be avoided.
So, I guess I agree with you through and through. Some argument this turned out to be! >_< (I kid, I kid)
