People really should read articles before leaving comments, you'll sound less stupid then.

Dammit I was about to post that.

OP: I'd love to buy the game, but my purchases are booked for the next couple of months.

I was going to buy his game but then I took a sexism to the face.

...Oh come on, he practically made me do it.
Sorry for asking, but was this 'sexism' in this article? Because if so, I'm gonna need you to explain where.
OT:I can see what he's getting at, but I think it's a different kind of "stimulation" to be honest.

He came out earlier this month and said that if you 'let your girlfriend win' on Twisted Metal then she would perform sexual actions on you.

That pretty much persuaded me to never buy his game.

No.

No.

You do not compare Twisted Metal to Skyrim. You do not compare some car combat game to one of the best Western RPGs of all time.
Thats THE Car Combat game, son!

I just looked up the quote. Oh dear. Methinks somebody needs some lessons in tact.

Really? With what? I'm honestly curious because the only thing I'm really looking forward to right now is Borderlands 2 and I think we still got a wait for that.

If Jaffe manages to convince Sony that TM doesn't need an online pass, I'll buy it at launch just on principle.

there's no need to swear, we're adults not children ffs.
I'm sure your grown adult mind can cope with someone saying "shit".

OT: This'll be like when Peter Molyneux linked every popular game and developer to Fable 3 then. Name-drops, ahoy!

Doesnt really read like a comparison to me hes just referencing Skyrim and saying he wants to achieve similar engagement.

I really liked twisted metal world tour back in the day and got some fun out of black but he should be honest its not a deep engaging experience just shallow fun (unless they have completely changed it and its not a vehicle destruction game anymore), nothing wrong with that either but you play mostly with brain switched off so to speak.

As for David Jaffe himself well the guy does seem passionate but he talks absolute crap I got tired of reading the drivel he was spouting when he was involved in God of War just ignore 70% of what he says and take the rest with a huge dose of salt.

Front-cover story: 'David Jaffe speaks in vague nothings, makes nonsensical comparisons based upon them!'

Yeah. Games that require any sort of planning or "thought" tie them together.
By that logic, Megaman 3 and Master of Orion 2 are very similar games.
But nice attempt at trying to tie your game to something as popular as Skyrim, Jaffe. I did get a chuckle out of it.

No shit, shit? Stop trolling.
Well, what were you complaining about then? He said "shit". If he were talking to children then chances are he wouldn't have said "shit".

(And fuck me, its not trolling every time some pokes fun at you a little.)

Why are people keep on taking things word-for-word? I mean "children" in a childish sense, when you get rascals who thinks it's "cool" to swear, smoke, drink and so forth...

If we're arguing on the basis that there are "mature" gamers, him stooping down to use language like that to engage with the audience feels damn right degrading to me.

Maybe I'm reading too much into this but the interview seems soulless to me therefore I'm convinced otherwise.

Well he wins this weeks cheap attention whore crown, but no the games are not comparable, makes me rather worried they fucked it up so bad they got no features of their own that could sell it...
