I'm guessing they said that because they were doing bug-fixes for PS3 and weren't sure if they had to do some more for the PC at the time, so they didn't know when it would be ready.

Right... Time to figure out which of the dozens of mods I have installed is conflicting with Dawnguard and causing idle animations to return to default.
Already ruled out game file corruption... that one caused every Dawnguard character to appear as a head floating of an exclamation point sign.

And they wonder why the PC launch got delayed.

Either way, the news was good for PC gamers, who can get the DLC from Steam right now for $19.99
Sure, you American people can buy Dawnguard for that price. Me, I would have to pay US$24.99 for it because I live six thousand miles away. Why am I paying more for the same content (before exchange rates) because I live in New Zealand?

Something about regions, that's the reason they gave me when I asked about prices of certain items last year. That is my one gripe with Steam: the fact that they charge me higher prices for the exact same items.
Now this may just be my ignorant american self asking a silly question but... doesn't damn near everything cost more in NZ and Aus?

I'm glad that it's for sale, but seriously, why let someone go on record as telling the public there were no plans or release date for Dawnguard whatsoever, days before it was released? Seriously, that guy is a prick and a marketing disaster. All he did was earn the ire of fans waiting for news about it. All you have to say is "It's coming, we don't know when".

Steam pricing at its finest! [http://www.steamprices.com/au/topripoffs]
For aussie players, just find an anonymous US proxy [http://www.xroxy.com/] and use it when logging into the steam store. You can buy things for US dollars then.

Steam should just have a flat price for everyone regardless of where you live, like GoG and some other DDPs. It's frankly stupid that in this day and age, in particular with entirely digital distribution, that one person should have to pay significantly more for the same product from the same place.

I think Hines isn't commenting on release dates because Bethesda doesn't want to make promises it can't keep.

Bethesda refusing to comment on when it's coming to PSN, they seem to have this new policy of releasing it without a sound then going "What do you mean delayed, it's right there and has been all along!"... so expect it tomorrow.

I'm pretty sure advertisements for this have been floating around on Steam for weeks now. This isn't terribly surprising.
What killed me were the wiki sites. Fallout wikia was advertising 'download Dawnguard Now!' 2-3 weeks before it came out. I was clicking the link, thinking 'sheesh they were pretty quiet about this release'.

I was looking forward to this DLC,until I bought it started to play and encountered a game breaking bug that wouldn't progress my game(Serena not using her blood for the portal).Wonder how long will last until they release a patch.

Well, that was a waste of money.
