The thing is, this "winter time", where you turn your clock one hour back, is the original time, so to speak. You turn the clock forward in the spring to take advantage of the early daylight, and then turn it back when there's no daylight to take advantage of.

And I DID get an extra hour of sleep, because I had to work on Sunday.
This so yeah I actually like Daylight saving time.

And its in different days because the sun cast it´s lights on earth differently.

I like British DST. It makes winter a special period. I like it when the evenings close in even earlier. It gives the whole season a cosy feel.

We don't have DST in Arizona. Sun is pretty much all we have here, even in the winter months. But I grew up in NJ, and we did have it. The thing about DST that people don't realize is that the SPRING DST is the one that isn't the natural time. Winter is. During spring, the west coast becomes the same time zone as Arizona. During the winter, it's back to being an hour behind us as it should be. So to turn off DST would permanently "lose" that hour that everyone complains about "losing" every winter.

I'm against it because I always feel the one hour less I get back in spring. It hurts.
But yesterday one hour more of sleep was barely noticable. I actually got up early (45 min early to be exactly) had time to finish things I usally do much quicker and came some more minutes to work earlier. I'm not liking it. It doesn't save lightbulbs or energy or anything, it's just useless crap that disturb my already very unstable sleeping rhythm.

We don't have it in Saskatchewan! Our time stays constant throughout the year and we don't shift it by an hour ever.
I was just about to say that! I'm from Alberta where we always changed the clocks but when I moved here for work we didn't change the clock.

it does cause problems for our radio station though since the people who can hear us out of province might assume we shifted our clock forward or backward.

I don't have an interesting story about it and it doesn't seem necessary (I didn't do it this year and everything turned out ok) although an extra hour of daylight is a nice little perk every now and then.

No daylight savings here in Western Australia despite numerous attempts and trials, the majority just don't want it.

I think the concept of changing the clocks is a silly idea. Here in the summer, some nights it doesn't get dark till 7, the last thing we need is more sunlight.

For those who want more daylight hours, I suggest you get up earlier and leave the rest of us alone.

The only valid argument I've heard for having it here is that it would lessen the time difference between us and the states who do have it. Is an extra hour really that big a deal? And if so, since it's pretty clear we won't be getting daylight savings any time soon, why don't the other states just give up this pointless practice.

I find this youtube quite intersting to this thread:

Now, back to your questions...
1.Do you have this Daylight-saving time?
2.Do you have any interesting anectdotes concerning this?
3.What do you think shall we keep it or shall we abolish it?
1. Yes, yes I do.
2. Not at all. The news never let us miss the time to change it.
3. Totally keep it! I live on a tropial country so it's kinda default for most people here to like the sun. It really feels good to leave the job and still have some sunlight outside.
