So DayZ is getting quite popular now since it is almost the only zombie apocalypse game that gets it right, so do you expect it to influence other developers to start exploring that kind of gameplay? (in the same way that Minecraft inspired Epic to do Fortnite)
For people that dont know what DayZ is:
I hope that some games take its cues, like some MMO's dont need to be filled with players to be good.
Why not create a low player based MMO? (I know that MMO stands for Massive multiplayer online, but by MMO I mostly mean a persistent world).
A game (much like DayZ) where human contact is uncommon and intense, imagine a STALKER with 20 players where each player can choose their own faction in the same way they do in the singleplayer (no "Choose your faction" menu, you do the quests that you want deciding who you want to support), or a Skyrim where players fight for the contents of a dungeon (or trade with other items that finish each others quests).
Basicly mixing the depth and detail of a singleplayer game with the persistency and human interaction of an MMO.
I dont know, it just feels like an unexplored type of game
For people that dont know what DayZ is:
DayZ it a mod for Arma 2 with a limit of 50 players per server.
The game is a zombie survival but it is more about the survival then the zombies, the most dangerous part of the game are the other players and not the actual zombies. You dont know who is friend of foe, you can take your chances alone or try to form groups to avoid being attacked by other groups. Its truly a survival game and that is why it is getting popular.
