I'm excited.
This smells of Ultimate Marvel before Loeb ruined everything.
I'm gonna go for Flash, and GL since they appealed to me in the TimmVerse.
Hopefully they do Wally as Flash, and either Kyle or John as GL. (Hal is personality-deficient non-entity)
this is no like the ultimate universe, the ultimate universe was a new canon, while this is just gimmick that dc did, in 12 months everything will be back to normal.

Also the flash in this "reboot" will be barry allen(right now there is nothing that wally west ever existed in this universe).

And Sinestro is going to be the green lantern( something about the green lantern wars crossover)

Good way to do things, especially with Morrison. I already have read a lot of his stuff from that period. He is currently doing Batman INC. which has been really interesting. That title will be on hiatus from August until December, which I'm sure will be a great jumping on point, also DC will probably publish a trade of the first six Batman Inc. comics before then anyway.
Yeah... well, after finishing Top 10 and without new Moore's works I grew disappointed on the scene. No diss meant, but i find Miller or Lee comics as interesting as Masashi Kishimoto or Mashima Hiro work and that is the sort of vibe i get from most comics.

It took All Star Superman to engage me back into American comics, sadly i don't have the time to be a full blown geek anymore, so currently just reading the Inc series and some Paul Pope here and there. But in the Inc comics there seem to be events in the previous Batman canon leading to some stuff that happened, and i don't know what's been Batman doing since... Kinghtfall i guess. Guess what i am asking is that if there's a quick way to know what has happened to the series in the last 18 years. (Fuck! 18?!? i am old).

If you have any questions about DC universe or what it will be after September, I'm a knowledgeable little comic nerd.
I want to read all of the recent Grant Morrison Batman work. Have looked for a list, but found none that was comprehensive, with all his canon Batman works from 2006 to date.

Mind giving it a try?

Thanks :D

OT: I don't give a crap anymore about arcs, try just to read by authors and their own epic lines.

Eh, I don't really read any DC titles beyond their Vertigo stuff, so this won't really effect me. I have always been more of a Marvel fan myself anyway. Smegin' love the X-men. It will be interesting to see if they pull this off though, and don't go "Just Kidding! Everything is back to normal!" 6 months later.

I'm not too upset as pretty much all the Batman stuff is still canon, but over a tighter timeframe. I like the fact that Batman is going to be older than Superman, having been an urban legend for several years before Superheroes came into the open.

Tv tropes has a pretty good list of all his stuff in order, though not really the exact numbers.

It's well worth reading, possibly the best Batman I've read.

Their integrating a lot of vertigo standards into the ne DC Universe, you should check them out, Swamp Thing with Scott Snyder in particular.

Didn't know that aspect of the reboot, but that's f-ing genius.
Yeah I think I read that Superman is late 20's, Batman mid 30's. Something to that effect. Also now when Batman recruited Robin it was quite early in his career (and more naive), so that the age gap between him and Dick is a bit closer, more like an older brother than a father figure.

Though this all stuff I've just gleamed from interviews and news online, so it might not be 100%.

The problem was that instead of being a story for the sake of it, it had two jobs to do, be a platform for Spiderman's death and to fix the Ultimate status quo for the new reboot, by killing off superfluous characters and getting the basic team back together. Was it terrbile? Yes. Was it necessary? Well, the future of the Ultimates line looks brighter than it has for years, with Hickman taking up the reins of Ultimates, as well as new Ultimate X-men book that hopefully won't suck and this new Spiderman which while controversial might be interesting.

makes sense with Dick being Nightwing in his 20's and the new Batman and Robin book including Damian

Well fuck that.

Just kidding (sorta) I am seriously interested in what changes they make to the Superman mythology though. Will his Kryptonite weakness behave the same way, what about the magic thing?
