Uh....Arch villains and Heroes are so far beyond player heroes that you aren't even remotely the most baddass hero ever. Do you remember back when the only way to kill certain bosses was with rad debuffs? I do. That is part of why I left CoX. The game became Fanon to Statesman/Lord Arachnos and the other developers. They created a mythology designed to sing the praises of their own avatars. We became mere sidekics/lackeys to them. The nature of Patron Powers heavily underscored that.SomeBritishDude said:I don't know what it is but I just don't like the idea of DC online. Oh it may be a great game (and maybe it won't be) but just the whole concept of it makes me a little hesitant.
In City of Heroes I can create the most badass super hero ever. In DC online...well the moment I stand next to Batman or Superman or even Aquaman I'll feel demished.
Wheaton has become a genuine geek icon in his own right (he's given the keynote at PAX twice now. Even Warren Spector has only done it once). He's one of us, he makes no attempt to hide it, and has a ton of fans - including many staffers at The Escapist. You're holding a ridiculous grudge for what a guy did twenty years ago.Pugiron said:Yeah cause he's been too busy playing so many other memorable roles. Or because Wussly was so hated that he is one of the characters NOT included in latter movies. Before there was JarJar, there was Wesly. Lame character, bad actor, worthless sidekick kid played by a man almost 40. Woohoo, marketing over journalism again.John Funk said:Uh, you do know that Wil Wheaton hasn't played Wesley in like... two decades, right?Pugiron said:As if it weren't cool enough? Nothing about this adds coolness. Combining Robn The Boy Wonder with Weseley the Boy Navigator creates a black hole of lameness that will suck all the style ouy of the universe.
