dammit i wish they would have a short open beta. I cant blindly fork over for a lifetime sub if i've never played it b4 hand >.< (one of those ppl who likes the idea of owning an MMO out right)

So Amazon beat them to the punch lol not bad Amazon not bad at all! XD
I'm playing the beta now, and can honestly say it is a good game, but not worth the monthly sub fee. Sad but true.

An interesting situation rose last night as well. Hero vs Villain PvP.

The Heroes were far more numerous and were still using every dirty trick in the book. The Villains were playing to the rules and watching some of the Heroes even tea-bagging the Villains.

Was rather enlightening.

One thing they REALLY need to add is a better explanation of the boss fights. I've just spent an hour trying to take down Supergirl, when it actually meant that I was to distract her - by setting people alight - then smash the consoles - which don't take their hits properly - and then find the bucket with the hidden kryptonite in it - and spam damage on her without using any of the knockback powers.

But you can't change between power regen and health regen easily, you can't repair damage and you can't get more health/power regen without taking a trip through hostile territory and restarting the mission.

This level of game meddling ruined LotRo for me, I hope it's fixed before launch.

That being said, the new patch is really really quite nice.
I think this is a problem with pretty much all MMOs. I just got done running a dungeon for like the fifth time, in WoW. The dungeon quest tells me I have to kill an ogre king. "Fine" I say, "but I'm going to kill this dungeon's lesser bosses first." Bad move. It turns out when you kill a lesser boss in this dungeon you get a permanent debuff of some kind (there is no way to tell what kind of debuff it is since it doesn't appear anywhere on your character) that lasts until you leave the instance. By the time you get to the third boss, you (and your group) will have died probably about five times because of those stealth debuffs. Going back to the quest text, there was a phrase I had missed earlier that said, "Tried to avoid killing the [named] guards, I'd rather the violence be kept to a minimum." I was like, "So your going to make the dungeon (next to) impossible just because I wanted to kill a boss other than the end boss? I call bullshit." Keep in mind that at no point other than that one sentence was it ever mentioned you should avoid killing the bosses. Thats just one example, but there are tons of dungeons like that in WoW where you have to do all sorts of shit completely unrelated to the killing of bosses.
