I think the Raven character could be interesting and compelling. I know her best from the Teen Titans cartoon, but other comic-guys I know think she can be interesting too.

So I'll throw it out: Who would be better? And why? Remember, we're trying to make a successful TV show here, so we need viewers, other than you.

wow did not know the character was that old. Thought they were new stuff when i watched Teen Titans. XD Then i saw Cyborg in the New DCUO trailer and i was like "omg look at that!" XD

Love it when i learn something new :D
Cyborg was in Superfriends, right before it finally died.

He had hair.
He had an AFRO no less.

Teen Titans was an incredibly rare occurance of an old property getting renewed life. It followed the basic template of the Teen Titan comics which were OOOHH SOOO EIGHTIES/NINTIES, but made it...not... oh so eighties/ninties. And it was good.

I was way out of that cartoons age range and I thought it was good. I especially loved the Cartoon reimagining of Starfire and Raven, and those are the default personalities/voices for them in my head now.

For a CW show? As much as I'd hate to propogate the countinued existance of the CW and it's souless void of television...

Green Arrow is pretty popular based off his appearances in Smallville. Green Arrow has always been a more 'fun' batman, the kind of person whose rich and enjoys it, loves the ladies, and is a smartass. Bring in Black Canary, good times.

But if we're doing Batman expies, why not do the big man himself, and give Bruce Wayne the Smallville treatment? Call it Gotham, make it about the events of Bruce's life - which have been covered in comics just as much as supermans, and are far more interesting - before he becomes and leading up to Batman. Bonus, Bruce activly worked as a vigilante before he became Batman, so shit -ACTUALLY HAPPENED-. The only negative here is many of Bruce's rogues are completly hingent on him BEING Batman, but the Joker could make an appearance as his pre-Jokerized mafia heavy/crazy self, Copplepot as a corrupt businessman/mob boss, etc etc.

Smallville is an incredibly stupid and inane show, but it was popular. And while i'd hate to see Batman reduced to something like 'the blur', it has legs.

Oh, what about a Flash show? They did a live action once, the effects aren't that hard. 6 million dollar man it with some flashier CGI. People would love you for a 'The Flash' show. Fun guy, works as a forensics expert, etc etc.

Why not a show about Zatanna? It could be like Supernatural, with a hot chick as lead. Jason Blood could guest star, they could have the romance subplot I always imagined them having before Etrigan ruined it somehow.

Basically...ANYONE but Raven? Raven is ONLY coming up because someone said hey, kids liked that Raven girl from that cartoon we cancelled because it was too good. Lets exploit THAT in a hamfisted manner and get all the self conscious teenaged girls to identify with the character thats entirely different from them.

I would like to see a Beast Boy show, only saw him in Teen Titans and he was my favourite character along side Cyborg.

I'll watch the first episode. If it doesn't hook me then, too bad. I really dig Raven as a character.

I agree, but every once and a while there's an episode that reminds you of why it's one of the very few truly great shows still on TV these days. You get 3 or 4 crappy filler episodes with preposterous story lines, but then along comes a gem that really is a joy to watch.

It will do about as well as "Birds of prey".

NOW if the did a show based on POWER GIRL...

The ratings would be huge!
Hell, I'd watch it. Thing is, which actress would have the 'talents' to do it?

I predict emo whineyness for this Raven show. I mean, Smallvile was full of it, and Raven will no doubt be the same if not worse.
