I've been thinking about DCUO, but I'm getting mixed reports on it. Anyone know how it's doing now that it's been out for a few months?

Its a ghost town according to some friends. Many have left it due to the issues of having there personal details and credit card stolen from what should have been a very secure system.

Does anyone have any numbers? There must be someone on the Escapist who has a subscription.

It's suppose to be getting condensed into 4 servers but it's a ghost town because the game gets pretty boring fast, and the dev's seem like they aren't even trying. Level cap can be reached in a couple of days even as a casual player, and once you are the only thing there is to do is the same couple of alerts, duo's, or raids over and over again for new gear. New gears who's purpose is to do the same alerts, duo's or raids slightly easier. After getting a couple pieces you realize how pointless and boring it is to keep going for a full set, just to start a new char and do it all over again.

There's also a lot of random dumb shit that's breaks in the game from time to time such as sound when doing missions, or invisible players/enemies meaning you can't heal your tank or fight who's ever kicking your ass. Auction house eating items, not being able to switch your stance from dps to role, or items you get from missions vanishing from your inventory. Most of these problems has been around since the game's been released, and after monthly updates still broken and just not worth paying $15 a month for. The game can be fun as hell to play as a new char messing with different abilities and styling costumes, but once you hit the cap it feels like most of the fun just stops and tells you start again. The game has a lot of potential, but it doesn't sound like they're trying to actually use it, just tack the same stuff in a different color dress and counting it as new content.
