I'm the designated driver for tonight's festivities, so that means no drinking - which is how I would usually entertain myself in such a scenario.

So, any suggestions on how to entertain myself? We're going to a dance club - I'm usually way too self-conscious to dance while sober, so I don't think that'll be an option. I bought some cigars, so I may smoke a couple, but that won't last me too long.

Any ideas are welcome!

Making fun of drunk people dancing is pretty much all you have if it is a dance club and you don't want to dance. Unless it is one of those hybrid dance clubs with pool tables or darts or something. Then I suggest doing that.

Sadly, no pool or darts - I'd be all over the pool table if there was one.

Maybe there'll be some drunken shenanigans that'll be entertaining... if I don't get knifed or something (this place we're going is kind of notorious for fights).

pretend to be "drunk" which will give you the excuse to do stupid things however you should be allowed to drink a small amount at the beginning thus supporting the fact you are "drunk"...just make sure that your peers don't notice the irrational behaviour

In a dance club, the bartender won't be able to hear him and if the place is busy, probably won't have time to talk to him anyway.

I have been in your position many times, being the only teetotaler amongst my family and friends. So all I can recomend is this: mess with as many drunks as you can and time will fly.

Watch the drunk people. They will entertain you. Works for me every time. Literally, the 5 best memories i have(if not the top 10) come from watching drunk people while being sober myself.
