Dead or Alive on 3DS Gets "PG" Rating in Australia

Now, people here seem to be in the wrong. It wasn't because the game "was to sexy", it was because it may or may not have featured child porn. Which, may I remind you, is against the law.

So I not suprised to see this outcome, after all. Australia does not have the same Child-Pornography laws as Sweden has.

I personally feel that the child pornography laws are going a tad to far with the respect to drawn material.

I do find child pornography to be the lowest of the low, and child abuse. But if a character is drawn is a child abused? And if a character is drawn how can we know if the character is over or under the age of 18, other than through the wording in the text?

Sure I will agree that doing porn out of Simpsons characters, or other characters who are stated is less than the legal age to be shown naked might not be good, but is it as bad as child pornography?

And in the case of DoA, and people having gotten fined for having drawings of naked children (ie Manga and anime showing nude characters who are not over 18) is in my mind not child pornography, since it is not meant as pornography.

Hell Game of thrones showed a little Naked boy in this weeks episode, so I guess that is child porn too.

I think this is a slipery slope, and it could end with a lot of Manga fans being fined...

That seems awfully backward. Although, they were starting to become more accepting of video games as a medium, last I heard.

Actually, it seems extremelly forward. I never understood why violence was more acceptable than sexuality. That's actually a really good sign that a game like DoA can get T.

Actually there are several characters described as underage by the developer. I don't remember exactly, might even be written in manuals of some of the DOA games.
