Ok, I'm a newb at reviews, so let's begin.
This game is Dead Rising 2, case zero.
Story: This game takes place in between Dead Rising and Dead Rising 2, making it like "Kingdom Hearts, chain of memories" (lol). You play as Chuck Greene, a motorcycle rider with a dead wife, and a infected daughter. He must inject his daughter with a drug called "Zombrex" every 12 hours, or his daughter will be zombiefied. As he escapes a zombie infested Vegas, his car, and his zombrex, are stolen, leaving him in a small town called Still Creek. He must find a way out of the city before the military take it over, and take his infected daughter away, and find more "Zombrex" for his daughter. The story works well in the Dead Rising game, and told well with colorful characters.
Gameplay: In this game, you will fight zombies. LOTS OF THEM. You will use weapons you find to kill them. You can also find two different items and combine them into a new, stronger weapon. Zombie killing is very fun, but may get boring after doing it for too long. But with all the weapons you can use, things stay fun for a while. You will also come across survivors, who will need your help to escape the zombies. But sometimes you will have to do things, such as find a lost friend, or get them a special weapon before they comply. This is all well and good, but since every mission is timed, it may get a little annoying if you only have a small amount of time left, and need to find a giant sword in 56 seconds. You also get to use money in this game, to buy weapons, hints, and zombrex. However, you will need to manege you money in case you need a weapon, but don't have the cash.
And for those who want to know, the saving system has been improved greatly. Yes, there are still save spots, but you will get the chance to save right before a big part in the story.
Basically, it's a upgraded version of the original Dead Rising's gamplay. Sure the camra can sometimes be odd if you don't use it well, and the zoom in is a little weird, but it all works in the end.
Music: Pretty good in normal gameplay, AWESOME IN BOSS FIGHTS. Some of you may remember that many boss fights in the first game were full of heavy metal music. It really pumped you up to beat down the enemy. Sure there is only one boss fight in Case Zero, but the music is still good. Plus the music that plays when your building something is also good. But after seeing the same cutscene for everything you make, you will soon skip it. Also the music in the credits, like in the original, is awesome, but that doesn't matter too much as by then, you would have already beat the game.
Overall: Overall, Dead Rising: Case Zero is a fun little game for you to quench your zombie blood lust. It is a short game, only 2 hours, but it only costs 400 microsoft points, which is about $5.00. Plus the mutiple endings adds a little more replay value. So overall, if you are a fan of Dead Rising, or you just want to kill some zoms, and save some survivors, then this will do well for you.
Hope Dead Rising 2 has even greater results.
Remember, I'm sorta new to reviewing, so forgive me if I didn't do well.
