Just finished the game with the best ending a few hours ago and I was really frustrated throughout the game because it is so easy to tell what's going to happen and who's going to do what.
Every cutscene pretty much tells you whats going to happen hours from now, each person's character follows the movie cliches and the psychos always meet an ironic end followed by a Chuck CSI-esqe one liner (I wish I was kidding)
The dialogue gives so much away just with the way things are said - an non-spoilerific example of this is the way Chuck says Zombrex every time as if it's a commercial saying "hey this'll be a big plot point by the way"
I thought the story was pretty good but was let down by few elements of suspense and surprise plus some very stupid parts that weren't really neccessary. For example the

battle hardened army sergeant who goes batshit crazy within 20mins (game time not real time) of arriving in the city. Head of a zombie outbreak rescue team and he loses it in an instant..nice
