Dead Rising 2 - Who's playing?

Anyone going to be playing this when it's out later this week? I loved the first game and I'm pumped for this one. I think I'll miss having Frank West in it though.

Afraid not. I loved Dead Rising 1, but right now I'm looking at Civilization 5, Guitar Hero 6, Left 4 Dead's The Sacrifice, my imported Japanese copy of Pokemon White, and Fallout: New Vegas - and that's only in the next month. I'm going to run out of money if I simply got every great game that's coming out soon.

Few more days until I get this. I'm so pumped. The first game was so simple but so much fun. I hope this one matches it.

I never played the first one, since I have a PS3, but a mate of mine and I are both going to EB on friday and buying it, first thing in the morning and rushing home and playing it co-op. XD

No thanks. I love zombies...but ehhh, first one was awful. In my opinion.

It was a pretty cool idea for a game. It was decent early-gen material while we were waiting for the good stuff to come out, but there were too many terrible design decisions (Hey, let's make a sandbox game and then put a timer on it so that the player can't goof off any!) for it to make me want to give it another whirl.

lol that was such a terrible thing about the first game, not being able to read the text. But I had so much fun with the game that I looked past most of it's flaws. The graphics were ok. Save system was crap. Time limits were pretty crap. But as someone has already said above, it was in the first wave of new gen console games and I think it did enough to be considered a good game.

On topic. Pre-ordered it a few days ago, picking it up on day one.

The fact that the game still includes the Timer is a big turn off for me. I'll probably rent it later on though, but at the moment its certainly not worth the full price...in my opinion

I played case 0. and if the whole game is like that I'll have no problem with it

Dead Rising was my favorite (Xbox 360) game up until I played Mass Effect (just last year) the only problem I found in the whole game was that you couldn't read anything Otis said
