Was anyone else upset with the S ending to DR2 i throught it was just a hike at a cheap scare but do you hate it when games do this shit where they try to make you jump like in the ending to DR2.

Even if a Horror game does this i still think its stupid Horror shud come from scary monsters the atmosphere the sense of loneliness in a world [see Silent Hill 2 and Amnesia]

Dressing up in a woman's frock and beating the shit out of zombies with a handbag while saying "Back, Back! I say!" kinda killed the horror so badly for me I spent the entire game laughing.

...Not to mention when you put the mankini on, Chuck does a little dance and says "I'm a big boy now!" or "This feels funny!" while giggling.

OT: But yes, cheap jump scares are bad. Very bad. Long term suspense, when you dread going into the next room is true horror, not some cheap thing that pops up on the screen.

Hasn't DR always put a cheap scare at the end of the "true" ending? I'm sure there was one in DR1 as well.

Also people still think DR is a horror game? Allow me to rev up my Chainsaw Staff and cut that notion in half... WITH THIS!

I never considered Dead Rising 2 horror, not just because of the awesome clothing options mentioned above but also because of the over-the-top way in which you kill zombies. There is a ton of gore and blood and a lot of the psychos are kinda creepy but you're still killing people and zombies with fire-ax-hammers, saw-blade-vaccumes, and all sorts of other strange and funny devices. It was a very silly game which made the final pop-up scare kind of a face-slap.

Well, DR2 doesn't count as horror you know, I'm sorry, it stopped being horror the moment you can kill zombies with a chain saw attached to a freaking paddle, and the silly plot also kinda stops it from being horror, especially the physcos, they were kinda creepy, but still managed to be hilariously bad.
For some reason, my (totally not made up) friend who is totally real and is totally right next to me right now, staring at my computer while I type this, thinks that DR2 is like WoW, with the grinding and what-not. My friend is also real. Don't stare at me like that!

I wasn't scared in the slightest by that. I was too busy pissing myself laughing at the clothes and why everyones being so serious with him like that! Good song though...
