Render environment in 720p, upscale to 1080p, overlay 1080p UI.

Early titles on new hardware usually don't look that much better than what's coming out for last-gen at the same time, because the developers have had years to figure out ways to wring more performance out of the same silicon. Look at Uncharted 1 vs Last of Us: same people, same PS3, huge improvement.

It's a new console release(window, I think) title, I don't feel this is an indication of issues throughout it's lifespan. Even if the console's are boasting PC like architecture, there will still be optimization gains over time.

Josh also said that he was impressed with how similar to a PC environment the Xbox One's dev kit was, and "Happy to not be cross-platform, to be honest - it's a huge challenge for a game like ours."
... "Wow, it's pretty easy to pass our game made and tested on PC to the console! It's a good thing we didn't have to split our resources bringing it to other platforms like the one it worked on before we transferred it to dev kit!"

Snark aside, I can understand not wanting to cover customer support for PC since there can be issues you couldn't have foreseen just based on the users unique environment of hardware and software.

Not that I think that was the biggest draw to exclusivity.

That's because they're sacrificing graphics for gameplay.
And my point was, shouldn't the new machines be able to do both if they are as advanced as the companies seem to want us (the consumers) to believe they are?

Besides, I keep hearing how developers should put graphics over gameplay around here. But when it actually comes to it, it seems you guys want to complain about any dip in graphics quality instead of thinking about what exactly these games are running in the background. For all we know, they could be simulating an ENTIRE ever-changing city every second.
I would like you to quote where I said that. Really, I'll give you a bit to find where I said graphics were more important than gameplay...

Come to think of it, I have never said that. Nice overgeneralization to try to prove a point though. Stay classy. -.-
